Many people in the legal profession complain that traditional law schools do not teach students practical lawyering skills.

How are Whotsamotta U's clinical programs?

Law School:

Okay, Fortook, I just have to weigh in here. Beavis & Butt-head is definitely an epic show! Those were some of the funniest things I ever saw, bar none. B&B don't get the credit they deserve for being two of the best actors ever to hit the big time.

Man, that's because Beavis and Butthead are not actors. Similar to the Real World, they're just getting filmed living the dream.

He also rocks sleeveless shirts and vests, which generally cost less than shirts and jackets with sleeves. Serious taxpayer savings over four to eight years.

The employment stats you are looking for can be found here (the entire ABA list):

It's not quite as specific as you'd like (family law, etc.), but it provides great insight into how schools are doing. It also provides stats for each of the schools you mentioned above.

A comparison with Stanford- are you  f. in kidding me?

I figured john4040 was drawing a comparison between Cooley's rankings, where it ranks itself #2 nationally, and the U.S. News rankings, where Stanford is ranked #2 nationally.

Research the curves at each school. If you want to transfer, you should probably attend the school with the better curve. It's not necessarily easy to transfer between law schools.

You'd probably have to live in New Haven if you choose to attend Yale. That, plus no scholarship =  NYU.

I try to learn as much as I can from Louis Canning on The Good Wife. He's such a good lawyer.
