I've seen other threads about this, but I wanted some more input...what did you guys do? Any suggestions? I just graduated UG, and will definitely write a nice, personal thank you note. I just don't know what "gift" to get. I'd get a bottle of wine, but that seems a little awkward to me for some reason...maybe because I'm not too much older than 21 and it still feels taboo? Godiva chocolates? I don't know about that either. I'm confused, lol.

But I'm going to go for it in Feb. Almost 100% now. I know in my heart of hearts I can do better, and I'm resolved to achieve my goal. It's not even about getting into law school anymore, because I'd truthfully be happy at some of the schools I'm in at already...I need to do this for myself; for peace of mind. Am I crazy? Probably. Good luck all Feb. retakers/takers/friends of people taking the test (hey, it's hard to be friends with someone during LSAT prep!).

Anyone care to share their opinion about what is needed -- particularly w/ regards to jobs out of the NE area (IE. NY, etc.)? Biglaw possible?

Tomorrow is a HUGE day for the green and white. I know there are probably few die hard Jet fans around these parts, but just wanted to throw a quick shout out nonetheless: J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!

Show some of us ~3.3ers some love...please? On all of those 3.1/3.2/3.3ers out there hoping to be lucky enough to get in, let me tell you that we love your school, and would give an arm and a leg to attend! Please call, e-mail or write. We're anxiously waiting.

Would I be crazy to do that? I have some circumstances which, in some ways, tie me to the Philly area although it's not impossible to negotiate. Any opinions?

I'm sure there are other threads like this, but it can't hurt to make another. Describe your 1L experience to date -- is it what you expected? What was the competition like? Did you feel out of place at first? Do you still? Basically, just provide a general summation of your 1L experiences to this point including candid accounts of your likes/dislikes. Any suggestions for us pre-laws who are jumping into the shark tank next fall?

Okay, here's the deal: I want a Hofstra T-Shirt. Based on what I'm seeing on LSN, I should get into Hofstra. I don't really want to go to the school, but I DO want the shirt. Since the app would be free, should I apply (and pay the 12 dollar fee) to get the shirt? Could I get it for a better price otherwise? Help!?
