I don't have the $$ to visit right now, and I've read that the area is especially bad since they dropped off some of the prisoners from New Orleans in Houston after the hurricane last year. I also know from working in law enforcement that you shouldn't believe everything you read, so I'm hoping to get first hand info on the area (I also have an 11 year old son, if anyone has input on raising a child there). Thanks for any info you can provide!!
