Main is an awesome teacher.  Going to Main's office hours really do help, that was good advice.  If any of you 2L/3Ls have time could you send an outline my way as well?  I've written my own, but want to make sure there are no holes.

THANK YOU!!!  :) LES4540@fsu.edu

Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Re: Pepperdine Help
« on: April 03, 2007, 06:49:31 PM »
I attend Pepperdine and it does feel conservative in some respects, like i've never come across so many engaged or married 23 year-olds (but maybe it's more common than i think), and I hear people talk about God and prayer probably more often than I would elsewhere but at the same time there are people who don't seem to care about that at all....except if you live in the dorms you can't have alcohol or overnight guests of the opposite sex (or at least you're not supposed to). Honestly, I don't think you'll feel the christian influence that much if you don't care to.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Pepperdine??
« on: April 30, 2006, 01:51:33 AM »
No. I'm going to Pepperdine. Loyola doesn't appeal to me as much for the same reason...I don't like the location and the idea having to deal with traffic to commute there everyday. But loyola is higher ranked and a little more respected although pepperdine is gaining ground now as well. Maybe you shoul visit both campuses again and then make your final decision.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Syracuse or UCONN?
« on: April 11, 2006, 09:03:45 PM »
You seemed pretty set on Syracuse before...i think your instincts lean toward Syracuse so you should stick to it unless you have a very good reason for preferring UConn. Where can you picture yourself the most? Who has the programs you're most interested in? Whose student body would you fit in with more? Being 27 is no big deal, I am as well. Just make the choice that gives you the most peace.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: UCLA -- are emails only good news?

I think e-mails are good news..both schools i got e-mails from before snail mail were acceptances. Phone calls are good news too.

It could work if she's just as busy as you are and understands your schedule. It might be annoying though if she starts nagging that you're not spending enough time with her. I wouldn't do it personally because I don't think I could handle being pulled in two directions like that especially my first year. And i guess that's another thing you should consider... your first year will be the most demanding. Maybe she should move in after you've settled in for a year or a semester. That way you get to get acclimated to your environment and work load on your own before you have to start accomodating your live-in relationship with her. I think that's what you should do. Let her join you later.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Still waiting for ASU
« on: April 11, 2006, 08:30:55 PM »
Yeah, I haven't heard from ASU either and Loyola LA. The only schools that i have yet to receive a phone call or e-mail or letter from. I probably wouldn't go to ASU anyway so i don't care too much.

I don't know if you're religious or not but pray about it. I promise it's useful.

I know how you feel.I'll be 28 in the fall and entering law school this year and I'm also in a relationship that probably won't end up in marriage. I also want to have my first child by 32 latest so I know I'll probably have to find someone else soon.. Don't worry about it. Everything happens for a reason. He's probably not the best person for you anyway. It's better if things end now than for you to end up divorced and raising your kids by yourself. You'll probably meet someone better for you soon in law school or through your friends there or wherever. It's not that hard. Good luck.
