There's no way this site is worth 20K.  Plus, itís more likely to get sued as it gets bigger.

Lake:

can CapN Spaulding pass the test and guess this waste from a woman's breast?

I'm going to go with Jenny Lake, which was formed by melting glaciers from the Grand Tetons (French for breasts).  Lake Jenny would then be the waste of a woman's breast.

I am sorry that was the wrong answer.

The answer was Lake Titikaka.

This is classic.  You guys should write for family guy.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: BC v BU
« on: January 15, 2007, 11:32:00 PM »
If I want to study Law and Technology, I should lean towards BU right? IP law, patents? Anyways gotta get accepted there first.

The most significant difference between the schools is culture.  I donít think either school has a significant advantage in [anything] law over the other.

Lets at least respect the west coast time difference before giving anything away.

And, HOLY f-ing sh*t!!!

I know right?  Two shockers there at the end, one including my namesake.

your name is ahmed?

Is this a legitimate reason to choose BC over BU?

btw the latest USNWR rankings show BC at 27. BU is 22.

Making a choise is especially dfficult for me. I live in NYC but I have no idea where life will lead me.

I'd say it's a better reason than rankings.

General Off-Topic Board / Re: Anyone have an IBM Laptop?
« on: January 13, 2007, 06:46:25 PM »
I have a true IBM laptop (ThinkPad) and I like it alot.  It's a few years old (I think it's an R51) and it's very reliable.  I used to work at a school that gave out IBM (and later Lenovo) ThinkPads to all its students and faculty and was amazed how well the hardware stood up to the abuse.

Now that Lenovo, or some other company makes the ThinkPad laptops, I'm not going to recommend the ThinkPad like I used to.  I imagine they're still top notch machines, however.

Frankly, the only other laptop I'd recommend over a ThinkPad are MacBooks, MacBook Pros, and Panasonic Toughbooks.

I've heard they've gotten better since Lenovo took over.  I have an x60s and love it.
