General Off-Topic Board / Re: How do I shrink a t-shirt?
« on: August 15, 2004, 08:09:00 PM »
The shrinking via washing and drying on high will only work if the shirt is 100%.  And even then it won't shrink too much.  If you really like it you could get it altered.  I know someone who gets all of his T-Shirts altered so maybe that could be an option.

Thank you so much!!!  I would love to see your class outlines.  But first things first........... I need be accepted.  I should probably give up on it, but I just can't help but hope I'll still get the call.  I'm hoping orientation is mandatory and the waitlist can begin moving next Wednesday.  I'd love to get my things out of storage soon!

You have a good deal going part time.  I should probably do the same to save some $$$ but I'll be living on loans for the next 3 years.  Trying to be optimistic...... if I don't get into SW at least I'll save on cost of living right?  *sigh*

Thanks EEE and Ruskiegirl.  Thank goodness my credit is decent - I was approved by the time I finished filling out my application online.  Now how I'm going to continue paying the credit card bill every month while going to school is another story.

First off........ what an adorable little puppy!!!

I wish I were going to SW!!!  I'm still on the waitlist.  I'm headed to New Orleans in just a bit to go to Loyola.  All my things are in storage and I'm staying in a hotel in hopes that I'll be accepted from the waitlist at SW.  I just hope all this extra expense isn't for nothing!

Good luck to you at SW!!  May I what their limit is that they they certify loans for?

I applied with the Access Group and was approved (well it said my application was approved so I'm assuming it means my loan was approved.)  I guess it's up to the school to certify it and give me the money.  In the meantime, I'll pay for tuition and hope it doesn't take too long for the loan to kick in.

How has everyone gone about securing private loans?  I'm thinking of using the Access Group, but have no clue if it's the best decision.  My tuition is due on Monday and as of right now I'm going to borrow from my parents until my loans kick in.  I hope they can let me send that check to them because at that point my tuition will be paid.  I'm also holding out a glimmer of hope of getting accepted off a waitlist so how will that work with my Stafford and private loans??  I'm so clueless when it comes to paying for school.  I was fortunate enough not to have to worry about it for undergrad and now it's all piling on top of me.  Advice?  Suggestions?

Oh no, dsong, what happened?? I bet you were in such trouble.  Did you have to pay for her car to be painted?

The jelly and the pics are great ideas, but this has to be something won't forget.  He has played so many pranks on me he has it coming to him.

Oh it will definitely be easy to get my boss and coworkers involved - we all want to get him GOOD!  The stealing jewelry might work, but only for a split second.  We have so many security cameras around that all he'd have to ask is check the tape.

P.S. inthesun, are you related to Brandi Sherwood by any chance??  You look a lot like her.

I especially like the bologna one, dsong, but since we don't have offices we dont' have chairs.  :(

Right now I'm thinking of filling his car with packing peanuts and then saran wrapping it.  The only thing I'm worried about is him slicing through his 'window' trying to get through the saran wrap, but I have no clue what else to do.  P.S. He drives a jeep so the 'windows' are plastic.

I guess you do have a point.  I live in Atlanta and there are quite a few homeless people in the downtown area, but I have no clue how to get one to where we are.  And then what happens if he actually likes the guy for real?   :o HAHAHA :D

HAHAHAHA, where is that M2???  That's hilarious.  Too bad we don't have offices!!!

Good one Green, but (and this sounds worse than it really is) it wouldn't be something out of the ordinary or shocking.

Now Knicks.... where am I going to find a gay homeless guy???

This is my last week at work and I just HAVE TO pull some sort of genious prank on one of my coworkers.  He is always pulling pranks or jokes on me so it's my turn to get even with him.  Ideas anyone????

It has to be pretty big to get back at him for all of his little schemes.  I also have the support of all my coworkers so I can get all the help I need.  Just a little background..... we work at an upscale jewelry store so it's not an office setting.  If it were I was going to have him 'arrested' by a city police officer I know, but I figured that could affect his reputation so I nixed that.

Have any questions please ask because I want this to be perfect!!!
