Where should I go next fall? / Re: Denver anyone?

Has anyone been able to tell if College Invest has any origination fee?  Myrichuncle says it has a "3% origination fee as determined by federal law."

So is College Invest, with their 3% principal discount at disbursement, basically just waiving that fee?

Also has anyone figures out how to apply for the GradPlus loan?  On the Sallie Mae website I tried to apply but University of Denver wasn't listed so I called and they said to speak  with DU because they were a direct lender.  When I called DU they said they were going to send out an email last week about applying for the GradPlus loan but I haven't seen anything yet.  Anyone have and ideas?

I just sent DU an email asking how to apply for the loan.  It feels like it's getting kind of late in the game, doesn't it?

greengrl, and anybody else who is freaking out right now...

I'm right there with you.  There are good days and bad days.  Most of my own anxiety comes from fear of the unknown.  I think once I'm moved to the city where my LS is, I'll be more calm.  (or that's what I keep telling myself, anyway!)

So your PT or FT? I'm confused?

FT, posting on the wrong thread.  Sorry.
I did see your response to my schedule on another Denver thread, thanks!

King Matthies, thanks for the advice!  It's really useful to hear the perspective of someone who's been there.  I'm glad to hear you liked Anderson!

I found a place to live, by the way, about a mile from campus in a single-family residential area.

What school are you going to? I agree on mornings thing, but fater 1.5L you can pick most of your classes. For me I hate down time between classes, i am NOT productive in that time at all.

DU, just like you.  Hey, that rhymes. ;D

Who are your profs, do you guys know yet? I have to be diplomatic, but I can't tell you what I know if I have had them.

Unit 3A

Civil Procedure, Professor DuVivier, TThF 1:15 PM
Contracts, Professor Taylor, MWTh 2:45 PM
Torts, Professor Pepper, TThF 10:30 AM
Lawyering Process I, Professor Anderson, MW 1:15 PM

I checked out all their bios on the DU web site ;D ;), sounds like standard fair except students seem to like Pepper, I think? and DuVivier sounds like she's pretty active, physcially...

I've been taking a class 2x a week since the winter, and I feel really good after I go to class.  I think it will really help me stay sane in LS, as long as I keep making time for yoga classes.

it's good stuff.

Hey gordonmam,

Thanks for your post- you asked some good questions.  I don't have answers to any of them since I'm a 1L, too, but I've wondered about many of the same things you mentioned.
