greengrl, and anybody else who is freaking out right now...

I'm right there with you.  There are good days and bad days.  Most of my own anxiety comes from fear of the unknown.  I think once I'm moved to the city where my LS is, I'll be more calm.  (or that's what I keep telling myself, anyway!)

So your PT or FT? I'm confused?

FT, posting on the wrong thread.  Sorry.
I did see your response to my schedule on another Denver thread, thanks!

King Matthies, thanks for the advice!  It's really useful to hear the perspective of someone who's been there.  I'm glad to hear you liked Anderson!

I found a place to live, by the way, about a mile from campus in a single-family residential area.

What school are you going to? I agree on mornings thing, but fater 1.5L you can pick most of your classes. For me I hate down time between classes, i am NOT productive in that time at all.

DU, just like you.  Hey, that rhymes. ;D

Who are your profs, do you guys know yet? I have to be diplomatic, but I can't tell you what I know if I have had them.

Unit 3A

Civil Procedure, Professor DuVivier, TThF 1:15 PM
Contracts, Professor Taylor, MWTh 2:45 PM
Torts, Professor Pepper, TThF 10:30 AM
Lawyering Process I, Professor Anderson, MW 1:15 PM

I checked out all their bios on the DU web site ;D ;), sounds like standard fair except students seem to like Pepper, I think? and DuVivier sounds like she's pretty active, physcially...

I've been taking a class 2x a week since the winter, and I feel really good after I go to class.  I think it will really help me stay sane in LS, as long as I keep making time for yoga classes.

Hey gordonmam,

Thanks for your post- you asked some good questions.  I don't have answers to any of them since I'm a 1L, too, but I've wondered about many of the same things you mentioned.

Just got my schedule this morning!

Civil Procedure, TThF 1:15
Contracts, MWTh 2:45 PM
Torts, TThF 10:30 AM
Lawyering Process I, MW 1:15 PM

My first reaction was that I would have liked to have more morning than afternoon classes, but who knows, maybe afternoon classes will turn out better anyway.  I tend to think better in the morning, though.

I was scoring 167, the AC died during a heat wave. I got a 161, still good, but not what i wanted....

that is a "serious bummer" :(
It would be interesting to know how others in that testing room did compared to their practice tests.

I went through a few commercial test prep books, including that goofy professor one (good for comic relief because sometimes it was just so corny)
I found that learning multiple strategies for the logic games helped me develop my own diagramming strategy.
I did as many timed practice tests (from actual tests) as I could as early in the morning as I could, and then went back and made sure I understood why I got wrong what I got wrong.
