I think I would send a non-threatening email...
"I am excited to hear from you regarding admission as I will soon be making a decision as to where to attend... if there is any further information you may require, please feel free to contact me...My current information is as follows... blahblahblah..."
well maybe not that last part. But if you send a friendly email that doesn't DEMAND any response but serves as a reminder of your interest they can't really be bothered, right? Correct me if I am wrong.

So here's the deal: I was deferred at Lewis & Clark. But I have no idea what that means, other than they are one of the 3 schools that have actually responded to me--(2 others, acceptances) They claim they will give me some kind of answer at the end of April or beginning of May.
My question, before I send in a deposit to one of the schools that can make up their minds, what can I expect with a deferral? Do they usually substitute for waitlists until they hear from more admits, thus likely resulting in admissions? Or are they just as likely to result in a rejection?

Yep, I think it is a bit inconsiderate. But I suppose we are entirely at their mercy so oh well.
At this rate, I'm on to Willamette

my boyfriend snapped, said I'm not allowed to "obsess" any longer around him.
I don't know what kind of future we have at this rate

I am really interested in their Dispute Resolution and International Law programs. Both sound great! I applied to Seattle as well, so I am waiting for that to make a decision.

Yep, I'm waiting on five out of seven and I don't think I can take it any longer. I am going through crazy fits of despair and hope, and I constantly re-check the admissions grids at all the schools. I totally sympathize with the 2x daily trips to the P.O., and though since I have my own P.O. box I cannot blame my roommate, my boyfriend HAS to snap soon with the psychosis I've been inflicting.
But seriously, I need to plan, and since my bf is planning on moving wherever I do, it would kind of help him so he could get a JOB!
I am emailing the admissions offices tomorrow AM of all the outstanding schools.
YAY for: Willamette, Cleveland Marshall
DEFERED at: Lewis & Clark
TICK TOCK: Akron, Case, Seattle, Ohio State

My parents offered me free room and board if I go to any of the local schools (Cleveland Marshall, Case, Akron.) I gently turned them down... $10,000 a year extra in loans is worth the lack of stress I will gain by living away from them. I love them but I know that the authority/personality conflicts would be a huge distraction from studying.
You're thinking clearly, I promise. Either that or we are both delusional.

personally, I think it is a bit sick of them not to respond immediately!!!!
My 2x daily trips to the P.O. are getting exhausting. Perhaps if I made them fitness walks?
Oh my, I am brilliant. From now on the only way I am allowed to check the mail is if I walk to the post office. At least now SOME good will come from this obsession.

That is similar to how it works in Ohio--U of Akron has had record highs in bar passage and is ranked toward the bottom. Makes you wonder who does the rankings!
But on the other hand, if my salary/job prospects are ranked accordingly I understand some level of complicity.
I am somewhat in love with Willamette, though I am still waiting on Seattle and L & C as well as a few Ohio schools. Willamette's dispute resolution program looks very attractive, as does their international law. I haven't heard anything about Lewis & Clark having a good international law program, does anyone have any more info about that?

Thank you for your analysis! Very helpful. I wasn't aware they dropped to T4... where do you find these rankings?
