Disclaimer: This is not to say that any school is your top choice...obviously, you'd probably be happy to go to any one of the schools you applied to...just that it would greatly ease your mind to hear from them for whatever reason.
Since we're all stressing out about the loooong wait, and since many of us have had long stretches of nothingness between news from law schools...
Which one of your pending schools would it be a huge sigh of relief to hear from? A response of HYS is looked down upon for its simplicity.
After sitting anxiously by my phone all day, I got two calls within a few mintues - one on my cell from a private number (not a LS) and one on my office line from an outside number while I was taking the first call (also not a LS).
The anxiety of picking up the phone both times was actually quite pleasurable in a this-is-exciting kind of way.
I realize this isn't all that interesting, but I just had to share. Aaahahhh, this is the magic hour for phone calls...
After reading post after pro-Michigan post on this board, I decided that I might be being a bit too hard on Ann Arbor (my sole reason for not applying to Michigan). I got a fee waiver this week, so I think I'll give it a shot. We'll see what happens, I guess...
Anybody work for them and want to put in a good word for me?
Just sent in my resume and LSDAS report and would looooove to teach for them. If anybody has insights on what their hiring process is like, I'd love to know more. You can PM me if you'd rather not post here.
I live within an hour or two of D.C., and I just got a big packet of admissions materials from GW. Inexblicably, it's dated January 7th, but postmarked 1/4/07. The Dean wrote a really wonderful personal note on the admissions letter. Those who got into GW recently should be getting one soon! I got the admit email on 12/28.
I know GTown is better ranked, but I just get such a fantastic feeling from GW. As they say in poker when 99 is heads-up against AK, "It's a race."
