Ok...this may be a stupid question (even though I'm part of the cool group on LSD)...

I'm sure it varies according to what each person's professor likes and how they test, etc...  But, in general...how much in depth (as far as memorizing, and being able to recall specifics, etc...) do you each think is necessary for the Model Penal Code and the U.C.C.   I mean, we spend all this time learning Common law...etc...
Ok...let me give an example....
Let's say I'm taking an exam...and it's a typical fact pattern essay...And in my essay, of course, I want to talk about the Rules and the elements of those rules...(such as, what the elements of rape are)...so, in doing this...would you state what the common law considers the elements to be...or what the model penal code says...or both? and how specific would you get regarding if its the model penal code,...And for contracts, would you make specific reference to the UCC or what... I'm just so confused right now...bleh.

ok...as i'm sure most of you on here (except JJ, b/c he SPENDS most of his time on here) can relate...just keeping up with all the reading for each class plus the Legal Research and Writing course assignments ...and then on top of that, developing your course outline...is all extremely time consuming...I know that I am reading 7 days a week...pretty much from morning til bedtime on weekdays...and about 6-8 hours each day on saturdays and sundays...
so...my question is...
how the hell do you find the time to dive into all of the supplemental stuff...like canned outlines, Barbri outlines, hornbooks, ...all that other stuff...i just can't seem to find the time to do all the supplemental stuff....maybe i spend too much time reading every single case that is assigned??  but if i don't read them, it's inevitable that those will be the times i'm called on in class....argh...
anybody feelin' me??

you mean, just like "fact pattern" problems?
just spot each issue, state the rule, apply the issue to the rule, and, if maybe state the minority rule if there is one....then move on to the next issue...present both sides of the issue with potential counter-arguments....
