Waitlisted at Samford today  :'(..... I already wrote them a letter of interest, would another letter help or make me look like I am begging?

:) Yeah.. it actually made me feel better to be waitlisted.. I honestly thought it would be a flat out rejection. It kinda makes me feel that I have a good chance of getting Memphis since I was waitlisted from ole miss, and not rejected, as an out of state student.  Since I live in Tennessee hopefully my residency will help for memphis.

Thanks for the encouragement  :D :D

Congratulations!! I know how much you wanted Memphis...

It gives me hope that they are still giving out acceptances. So they notified you by email and then a big or small envelope came?

 again, congrats!!

Anyone else stare at the non-print ink to try and figure out if notes/signatures are actually handwritten or just clever laser copies... or is that just me?

I must have spent five minutes flipping the sheet back and forth before I decided whether a signature was 'real' *L*

I do that.

Are you all really that unsure about your own accomplishments that you ponder if it is a real signature or letter??? its all about confidence.. you are going to need it to become a lawyer someday!

I had a hand written note from the Dean on my acceptance letter:

"I am impressed with your achievements and background. You have done so much! I know you will be a success at our school..."

pretty nice :)  certainly helped me with my decision!!

Incoming 1Ls / Re: How many of you are married?
« on: April 03, 2006, 12:10:34 PM »

Yep.  That's what the post requests by the title.  The single folks will most likely skip past this thread.  It is kind of funny that the OP basically wants to know the reverse, of how many single people will be in Law School.

By requesting those that are married to post, I am assuming those that don't post aren't married. They may not be single, but they haven't yet committed to a family. It will a little awkard and cumbersome to change the post title to be "any one out there not married, but not dating, or talking to someone?"
