I have a friend who got in after his father donated a fairly large amount of money---he scored a 145 on his LSAT...great school indeed  ;)

Well that kinda stinks! Geez!  I guess I have a TON of changing to do there in a mere 3 years.  I think you'll see Starr and Hilary on the same party ticket by the time I'm done  ;)

Oh my gosh!!!  Congratulations!!!!   ;D ;D ;D  You don't have to reveal private info - but did it seem like the decision was based just on numbers?

They are re-reviewing at the end of the month again... I wonder how many days left until it's officially the end of the month...  I think next week may qualify   :-\  Maybe we'll have something new to talk about then  ???  *sigh*

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Waitlisted at Loyola-LA
« on: June 22, 2006, 10:17:21 PM »
Thanks for the info.  I got flat out rejected from Southwestern... I think whoever read my essay just didn't like animals or children or something...  this whole process is so subjective.

It really is very random, I heard of people with competitive numbers for UCLA/USC get rejected from random schools like Southwestern, and then get into Whittier but not Chapman, things that just make you go "HUH?"

You can see from my LSN that I got a pretty random acceptance from Loyola and stayed on Pepperdine and USD's WL.

Yep, I was rejected from Southwestern - and am waitlisted at UCLA.  ???

I decided not to stay on the Loyola waitlist... and to go to Pepperdine (unless miracle of miracles I get off the UCLA waitlist).  Just curious what made you decide to accept Loyola.  Was it primarily ranking?  8)

Hey Veganchick, I wish you and your dog well. My 10 year old Black Lab (pictured) had to have neuro surgery and was hopitalized for 10 days last year.  He had a ruptured disk which paralyzed him.  He's doing fine now.

Thanks Denk  :)  Your dog is SO beautiful and looks SO happy.  Nice to hear a success story.  Francis threw up again this morning, so they still won't let her go home yet - new blood results should come back this afternoon... hoping to get her home tomorrow.  Thanks for the warm wishes.  Francis sends a kiss  :-*

Thanks for your warm thoughts everyone... she's still in the ICU, but I hope to have her home soon. I sure do miss her.
