True... but too bad it's so easy to stay on their waitlist since they don't ask for a deposit...   :-\

:-* :-*  :-*  good luck to everyone

If I get into UCLA off the waitlist - you can have my spot...  Although, I only have about .0000000001% of that happening, unfortunately.   8)

From the UCLA admitted students thread:

"hi guys! i'm class of '08 too but it turns out i'm going to be a lawyering skills writing advisor this year so i might actually get to meet some of you at orientation.  couple of thoughts:

1) a guy in my section got in off the waitlist a day or two before orientation so those of you still waiting, don't give up."

Thanks for the good info!   8)   Gives one an itsy bitsy ray of hope...

Thanks Vicious!  That's helpful information... and that's right - the admissions office did say reconfirm intent - she didn't mention $.  I forgot it's not an actual seat deposit.  So maybe there will be some movement after all  :-\

I hope you get into Boalt  ;D  CAL is my alma mater - GO BEARS!

Hey There Lucky Ones!

When is your 2nd seat deposit due?  For those of us on the waitlist, I think we won't hear anything until after that date... ???

Thanks   8)

Thanks Grohl  ;)

But after talking with the admissions office yesterday, my chances are SUPER DOOPER slim.

I was told that they are officially "over-enrolled"  :'( :'( :'(.  Sounds like there's no chance of taking more peeps unless people don't pay their 2nd seat deposit...

One other tidbit - I was told that no one had been rejected off the waitlist as of yet.

Where did you decided to go to school, Grohl?

my friend told me he got rejected, but i don't know exactly how he found out.  he one of those overly persistent folks (who may have annoyed the admissions office), so i wouldn't be surprised if they rejected him just because he wouldn't leave them alone.

but it is weird that no one else has gotten any rejections.  honestly, when he told me he was rejected, i was bracing for my rejection, too.  there's also that off chance there's deception somewhere (friend is not a close friend; i just met him in my lsat class).  but i'm starting to wonder too whether what he told me is legit since usually there's some action on lsn with what goes on anecdotally...  (sorry everyone, if 'friend' was a jerk and lied...)

Thanks for the info Joe - we're so desperate for any and all info, that we're giddy with even hear-say  ;)  I think I'll go home to check my mailbox now  :-[

There has been no words of rejections. I don't think it has been sent out yet.

Joe said his friend got one...  ???

And no one on LSN and LSD? I thought they were sending those puppies out en masse.

I have no idea how all this works...  but as stressful as it is, I can't complain since both of my options are within an hour of each other.  Sitting tight until I hear one way or the other  :o  tick tock, tick tock...
