Oh - one nice note...  the people at Pepperdine have been super friendly, and helpful, and I'm sure I'll be fine there - and am lucky to have the opportunity to study anywhere.

Ok, I'm going back to crying now.  :'(

No email here either.  Drats!  Starting to get really worried now (especially since I have to move in 2 weeks!).  For now, I'll just keep hoping that more spots open up after the 28th.  Hey Veganchick, any word on the "certain criteria" that they're looking for?

Oh, admission gods, please look down on us with pity.  Please!!

First - thank you to the well wishers who are going elsewhere  :-*

Second - this has been such a bad day!  Jerky "guy" stuff (beyond jerky actually, but I'll keep it clean), then the endodontist had to postpone my root canal (which I desperately need), and now NO UCLA email.  My eyes are all poofy now... :'( :'(

OK, I'll stop complaining... but regarding  the "other" criterion, it was like pulling teeth just to get her to say those words... didn't get any other juicy info.  Sorry.  I just have a feeling that those who got the emails are up to bat next.

I didn't get an email  :'(

and was told by admissions just now that you have to have "certain criteria" to get one.  I asked if an applicant would still have a chance of getting in, should they NOT receive that email - and she said "yes".  For what it's worth... ugh.

honestly, I have a sinking feeling that if we didn't get one, we're out of the running...  :-\

I'm only 90 lbs.  I say they take the three of us, and I'll just share a seat with someone.  There has to be room in the back for us somewhere, don't cha think?  ;D

I was also just thinking that if by chance we get in... what in the heck happens with our financial aid that's already sitting at other schools?  Can they really sort it out that quickly if it's already orientation week?

According to LSN, someone got in off the waitlist today.  :-\

Maybe Cornell will accept them, and they'll go there instead ???

The 28th is almost here...  YIKES.  Keep those cell phones charged!

This is how I feel:   :o >:( :'( :-\ ;D ???  Basically batty at this point.

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Re: Chapman's 2005 LSAC data

For what it's worth - I met a 3rd year from Chapman last night who said she really liked it there...  she also said she really enjoyed her summer internships too.  She said she chose Chapman over other higher ranked schools because she wanted to stay in Orange County.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Waitlisted at Loyola-LA

I dropped off the waitlist for LLS too - but still read this thread, so you're not alone  ;)  If it makes anyone feel any better - UCLA is "over-enrolled" according to their admissions office - and that's a bit worse than just "full" at LLS...  so have hope!  8)

True... but too bad it's so easy to stay on their waitlist since they don't ask for a deposit...   :-\

:-* :-*  :-*  good luck to everyone

If I get into UCLA off the waitlist - you can have my spot...  Although, I only have about .0000000001% of that happening, unfortunately.   8)

From the UCLA admitted students thread:

"hi guys! i'm class of '08 too but it turns out i'm going to be a lawyering skills writing advisor this year so i might actually get to meet some of you at orientation.  couple of thoughts:

1) a guy in my section got in off the waitlist a day or two before orientation so those of you still waiting, don't give up."
