Then again, I'm kinda in the camp of, if you stand out as a great student and mover & shaker - you're gonna play with the big boys no matter what... if, of course, that's what you want. I don't plan on working for a big firm (intrigued by Public Interest, actually) - but I think as long as I'm in a T2 school or higher, I'll be able to wiggle my way in to something good. I hope.

Whittier let's you finish in 2 1/2 years as a spring admit - but once again, it eats up at least one summer... limiting internship opportunities.

But I bet you'll make some great friends, and be 100% content. We're gonna be so overwhelmed, we won't even know where we are after a while. Can you believe still NOTHING from UCLA???!!! And I live in L.A. - it's not like the mail has to travel very far. Doesn't matter... I'm happy here with the deer and sea.  18

Nothing in my mailbox - again. I must say I'm really enjoying orientation at Pepperdine this week. Everyone is SO supportive... it's kinda nice being at a smaller university
 Did ANYONE get pulled off the waitlist this week???  This board is so silent...

I'm READY. And we will make MORE than the best of it! I had a nice time at orientation today... I'll be ok there. But I did make one last ditched effort and emailed UCLA one last blurb of intent - but of course, not a peep from their end. I was going to have a senator call on my behalf too - but was told that they "pride themselves on not taking outside influences" like that and it would backfire... Besides, my Pep property professor left UCLA 4 years ago, and got teacher of the year... I can just sit and pretend we're both at UCLA, but with a better view Well, post now and then, MTO! I'm hoping your school turns out to be a nice fit One day down, 999 to go!  |
