Current Law Students / MAC that works with Exam Soft?
« on: July 24, 2006, 10:04:23 AM »
I have a MAC PowerBook - G4 - and I know it's not compatible with Exam Soft.  I hear the new MACs work with Exam Soft...  should I buy a new one?  or just get a PC just to be safe?  If anyone has recently faced this dilemma - please let me know.  Ideally, I'd like to just keep using my G4... but don't know how to take exams on it.

Thanks for your help!

Whoa - this is by far the scariest sentence:

~~~~she wrote in her Harvard Law Review note. "In general, they no longer view themselves as capable of having an impact on the world, much less setting it on fire."~~~~
More great ideas, thanks! Especially re: the ABA.  :-*  I'll send out some letters.
Thanks Dunner!  ;)
Current Law Students / where do you get summer legal research jobs?
« on: May 02, 2006, 03:14:32 PM »
Any clue where to get a legal research / writing summer position, i.e. assisting a lawyer with a project...  I'm trained on Westlaw and LexisNexis & live in the L.A. Area.  Not looking for a formal internship.
I know this is in reference to a much earlier post - but I, too, LOVED the reference to "drinking unicorn giggles"  !!!!!!   ;D  Too cute!
Unless, of course, you're already an established mover and shaker  ;)  hehe...
Then again, I'm kinda in the camp of, if you stand out as a great student and mover & shaker - you're gonna play with the big boys no matter what... if, of course, that's what you want.  I don't plan on working for a big firm (intrigued by Public Interest, actually) - but I think as long as I'm in a T2 school or higher, I'll be able to wiggle my way in to something good.  I hope.   ;D
