No, I'd rather have not loved at all.  Ignorance is bliss.

If it's going to be in an electronic format, avoid anything with serifs (the little tags on the ends of letters like in times new roman).  I like clean, simple fonts like verdana, arial (not arial narrow, though), lucida, and most anything else sans-serif.

He wouldn't exactly admit he was wrong, would he?  Of course, I am sure he doesn't believe he was wrong, but still.

When I was in college, my bf was still in my hometown.  We made it through my freshman year okay, but one weekend the next fall we got in a big fight and broke up.  Then we kind of got back together, and things were pretty good for a few months.  So I'm emailing him about what he wanted to do the next weekend I was home, and he replied, "Well, I'm probably going to be busy with this girl I've been seeing."

I kid not.

Needless to say, we were soooo over after that.  The rat bastard.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: University of Richmond

Okay.  So, last week, I get a call at work and it's UR.  They ask me if I were to be accepted, would I attend?  I, of course, said absolutely (almost pulled a Mr. Big and said abso-f-in'-lutely, but I luckily refrained).  They said something should be decided within a couple of days.  That was last Monday.  I haven't heard anything since.  So, I call this morning to ask them what's up, and I get the run around and completely get the impression that they won't be accepting people off the list after all, but they could call me anytime between now and the first day of orientation.

Now, when they called me, they did say there weren't any guarantees.  However, through all of my reading and research, if and when a LS goes to the trouble to ask a waitlisted applicant, "If we were to accept you, would you attend?" it's the step immediately preceeding actually offering a seat (because they're not going to offer unless they know they aren't wasting their time).  So, how insane is it that I finally get this call, and now it looks like there's no hope after all?

Did anyone else get this call?

Definitely cruel and unusual punishment, if you ask me...  ???

General Off-Topic Board / Re: Great Loves

Not veering too far off topic:  is anyone in an interracial (whatever that means these days) relationship?

I have, but it was so long ago it probably doesn't count anymore...

i talked to them last week, and no, i don't think im going to remove still holding out hope as well.

Good luck to you - one thing I have definitely learned from this whole process is that patience is key.  And I'm not a patient person, so even if this doesn't work out, at least I've gained something...

I really love Richmond, too.  It would make me so happy if the handful of us on this board who have been waiting (and waiting and waiting!) are the handful that gets off the waitlist!

Anyway, keep me posted!

[...]I would also avoid schools with a religious base (Vllanova, BC, Fordham, etc.)  While I know the law schools don't tend to be as religion-happy as the undergrad institution, they still have some influence.  [...]

Add Regent to that list of those to avoid, then.  Pat Robertson = Scary!  ;)

Studying for the LSAT / Re: Law Students in their 30s

I will be in my 30s by the time I get out of law school (if I ever make it to law school...), and law will be my 2nd career.  I currently work in IT.
