General Board / I hate civil procedure
« on: December 19, 2006, 12:16:33 PM »
I actually liked my other classes, but Civ pro was a nightmare.  Can anyone advise of other courses which are similar so that I prepare?

Widener U School of Law / 2009 meet and greet
« on: June 13, 2006, 01:29:52 PM »
Hey guys, I thought I would try to make us super special and have more than one active thread going.  Anyway, since we're all on LSD, I thought it might be nice to introduce ourselves, seeing as how we may/probably will run into each other over on Campus (since campus is 2 buildings, the odds of us NOT running into each other approach 0). so to ::cough cough:: start the introductions,

"Hi, I'm Bob."

Yes, I know, spectacularly rare name. Probably the first you've ever met.
I'm 26 years old (just turned 26 last week)
Currently working as a paralegal.
I love playing tennis, if anyone is interested in grabbing a court sometime, I'm definately game.  I used to be pretty good back in the day, right now I'm a 4.5-5.0 player.
Socially, I'm a fan of bowling, movies, billiards, hitting up a local bar and having good conversations.
One of my guilty pleasures is anime (hey, I rationalize it as a way for me to learn japanese... Gomen nasai!)
The area of law which interests me going into law school is intellectual property, but I'm open to pretty much anything.

I think that covers most of the general points.  Hope to hear from some of ya.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Scanner anyone?

Anyone thinking of buying a decent document scanner to use for obvious purposes? A scanner + some decent OCR software seems like it could come in really handy.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Widener DE Students
« on: June 05, 2006, 09:56:01 AM »
Hey guys, how's it going? just curious if anyone else is heading to Widener and what their thoughts are.  I'm still figuring out my living situation, but hope to have that sorted out in the next couple weeks.  Has anyone thought about classes/profs?

Oh, and I'm not posting this on the Widener thread because I've seen more life in a mortuary than I've seen on that thread.

Is it possible Widener, DE has the highest bar passage rate? or am I misreading something.

Where should I go next fall? / The: "Yeah...I saw that coming" thread!
« on: March 17, 2006, 06:38:41 PM »
Hey guys, sup.  I'd like to start this thread off as the opposite of the miracle thread. Mostly for comic relief at this point in the process... So here we go! Lets give a shout out for all those schools who totally sided with Chiashu!

Today: DING!!!!

American University:
Chiashu says....
.8% chance of admission!
Yay!!!

Now remember, this thread is reserved for rejections so absolutely obvious that as soon as you opened that tiny, thin, frail little envelope you said to yourself..."yeah...I saw that coming..."
