Law School Discussion

I am just in awe that I still have not heard from FAMU. It's now three months. I was told by a friend that they mailed their denial letters some time ago. I guess I must be in a holding place. I faxed another letter of interest. The waiting is hard at times.

I think the acceptance letters must still be coming from FAMU. I just got mine in the mail today. Two weeks after I sent my deposit to NCCU. I don't know if that a good thing or a bad thing, cause my fiance lives in Orlando. But what's done is done I guess.

I think I will be staying with my cousin down there. I just wanted a backup plan if I needed one.

Yeah! Its great to see someone else attending! Civblu, no they didn't mention any awards. My acceptance letter actually came in a regular sized envelope and you had to fill out some extra paperwork for financial aid(I am assuming that includes scholarships, but I probably won't qualify for any anywayz) I am just happy I got in somewhere! I visited the school, and the facilities are top notch. They just remodeled like 2 or 3 years ago.

Chydiva, do they have grad dorms?If you stay on campus, do you have to have a roommate? Have you seen the dorms?

Hey everyone, I am sending my seat deposit tomorrow for NCCU and wanted to know if anyone else here is going to attend in the fall. I am so excited!

I applied three months ago also. I even went and visited earlier this month and they said my application was complete. Like another poster said, they are going through alot of transisition. No permanent dean, a low bar passage rate and the university as a whole is getting a new president(which is a good thing) But from what I hear, Tallahassee has a tight reign on what goes on in Orlando at the law school. Check out http://rattlernation.blogspot.com/ look in the archives. There is alot of info on there about the law school. But I think once they get their stuff together, it will be a good school, but even though i would rather be in Orlando with my fiance, I can't wait for them. Also, when I went and visited, the Admissions rep said that had like 60 percent more apps than they did last year.
I got accepted to NCCU and I think I will end up going there instead.
