Law School Applications / Re: Where did you send your seat deposit(s)?

Maybe the OP means literally where did you send deposits, not where did you decide to go?

I have to admit, I sent two deposits :( ... AU-WCL and UH. I need time to visit them both and hopefully will be able to withdraw from one next week. Agk.

Thank :)

I'm visiting this weekend - does anyone have anything they want me to ask/look for/etc while I'm there? :)

If you havent been to DC before, go look around and enjoy the city :)

Dont go to the crappy areas though.

Hahahaha... Uh, yeah that was the plan. :)

here are a few pics.

holy crap that little bugger is cute

he has been alot of fun so far.

Ah, so he hasn't peed on anything yet ;)

Anyway, he looks like SUCH a cutie!! Soon, his head will be the size of my puppies' entire body. :)

caucasian, negroid, mongoloid, aboriginal...or depending upon your reference: European, African, Asian, American Indian

So what do I get?

Where do Thais and Sri Lankans fall in that?

is this still being updated? if not the first page should be deleted.

1. Boss is doing a great job and

2. even if it weren't being updated that doesn't make the first page wrong  -- I still like to see where people have decided to go!

Wow, if a girl asked me if I was going to marry her after 2 months I would probably tell her to hold that thought, that I had left my phone in my car... and then smoke the tires while attempting to get away... you are quite the man

Maybe Papa Bear felt the same way about her. I hear it happens to a rare few people. I wish I were that lucky.

*wonders if she should get out of the "guys" thread*

Hey, I just noticed this so Im gonna hijack the thread... you are my female URM numbers twin... well.. I got 3 LSAT points on you and you got .1 GPA on me... but its pretty close

I don't think this thread is particularly "topic conscious" lol.

3 LSAT points is a big deal! I wish I had 3 more for me! .1 GPA sooo not a big deal. Do you have the weird LSAC/Degree GPA split, too?

So are you going to join me at WCL? :)

My real GPA is somewhere around a 2.8... but we have a couple chances to retake a class and discount the old grade, so those are in my LSAC GPA.

Im not gonna get in at American, though I did send back the WL letter... Im not sure if Id go even if I got in.  Im a warm weather boy and not into international law... but it IS in DC, which would help if I did patent law... who knows... we'll cross that bridge if we come to it I guess

Well, good luck!! Sounds exciting (patent law). Warm weather? You should have applied to Houston ;) hehe.

On that note, I'm off to bed. It's late!

I know I would be happier at UVA but I just dont want the debt thing to be a distraction. I want to be able to really relax and enjoy learning law instead of constantly thinking about getting a high paying job after school. I just dont like restrictions. I know I want to clerk and I would really love to teach after. UVA would obviously give me an edge in this category but I would definitely have to work in private practice for a while before at least the latter route.

An aspect that is pushing me toward UVA is the higher probability of attaining summer jobs which will give me an early chunk with which to chip away at the debt.

News flash ... pretty much everyone has to pay their dues and work their way to doing what they really love. So the first 5 - 10 years won't be ideal. But the next 30 might be!
