Is there really NO ONE joining me at American?

if i get off the waitlist, i'm there. not a realistic hope though.

for now, it's' miami.

Miami is warm and delicious. Count your stars, the lucky ones :)

Is there really NO ONE joining me at American?

Convince them to take me off their WL and I'll join you in DC.  I'll even buy you beer if you can pull that off...

Buy me a mojito and you can consider it done ;)

You, ma'am, have a deal.

Sweet!

What about this one? Can be a messenger or a backpack, depending on how heavy a load you end up with that day?

Both of these look great. :)

I have read, however, that for the purposes of test taking, you need to be mindful that you are not just taking "Torts," but that you are taking "Torts by Prof. Smith." In other words, for the purpose of an exam (and not for the purpose of being an effective lawyer), you need to focus on what the professor focuses, which may be very different than that on which a commercial outline focuses. Just be careful that if your prof spends 3 weeks on one issue versus 1 class on another, that you are focusing more on the first one. I guess that sounds obvious, but I think it's easy to get distracted from that with commercial outlines.

I picked $150. I don't need it to be happy, but it definitely allows you to have the most FUN!

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Re: University of Houston
« on: April 07, 2007, 11:59:17 PM »
I would rather live in Houston than Chicago. I'm a southern warm-weather girl at heart, plus my family is here and I have ties to the city and the community. And you can't beat the Houston tuition. Plus, I like the school.

What I'm not sure is if Houston would trump American. Mostly I think no, unless there were significant scholarship involved, in which case being close to my family would be awful tempting.

Mostly, though, I just think that if they're going to tell me 'no,' I'd like to know. I'm starting to get really antsy about making plans for where I will be 4 months from now, especially since I plan on being out of the country for two months out of the summer!

i bet they tell you yes

and TAG

Um, hello, that's cheating! You already know they let me in :P

property taxes are crazy though...

Yes, they *can* -- but if your house only costs you half as much as in another part of the country, property taxes can't be THAT terrible.

This book is neither of those things you mentioned

 ??? You mean shocking and absorbing? I guess they're subjective . . .

EDIT: Oh, I get it, sorry! I thought you were criticizing the book I recommended and I was like, ::cry:: she doesn't like my book!  :)

Yaay for deposits!  ;D

Lol ... aww, no, I'm sorry my phrasing was awkward. I meant to say that the book I was about to recommend was neither related to WCL nor Public Interest, which were the two things you asked for in your last sentence.

I haven't read your book, but I've added it to my already-too-long-list-of-books-I-want-to-read!
