Yes I feel your pain. I am anxiously awaiting UF's letter. I applied late September and got deffered december, got a "now under review in Feb." and an email that says I will know by the end of March barring any unforeseen difficulties...so its almost over...but so painful.
I don't know if I belong there, but that's where I am as well.lol. I got dinged from FSU about a month and half after I applied. So I applied say late september/early oct. and got my rej. november sometime. It was how do I say..an autoreject. I am currently in the defferal stack at UF. Go gators!
First, where are you coming from?? I'm in Gainesville now and...I miss the beach/boating water life. So if you are used to that lifestyle, this is a big change being an hour and half away from anything of that nature.
Well when you come, if you like sushi, my personal rec. is to go to Dragonfly.
I agree with brslegal, if the students are gone...it will take away alot of the experience. Even though the traffic will be ALOT better without them...the town wouldn't be the same without them.
I haven't checked out Lake Wahburg, nor the Springs, but I hear they both are alot of fun. There is Ginnie Springs and I believe Silver Springs ( a lil bit of driving) that many people go to to just chill out and float down.
Evening night spots-everything is hopping pretty much every day of the week except Sunday. All the bars are little hobunk places usually packed to the brim. Good "hometown fun".
Anyway, hope your visit is fun!
I agree with wunder. I too am a legal assistant and find few difference btwn an asst and a paralegal. I would say the main reason someone in a paralegal position would go to law school is because they know how an office runs from the ground up and why not go get your J.D. and make more money, maybe become an associate if are not interested in owning your own firm/office. I've learned so much as a legal assistant and am now ready to make the next big step..law school.
I got this same file under review and asked around on people on lawschoolnumbers.com and some that have been def/rejected did not get the email and then there are those of us that have gotten the email/deffered and no decision yet...I'm staying optimistic!
