I don't want to sound like I work for Powerscore (I just love their books to death because I felt like Kaplan & PR were a ripoff), but I don't think anybody knows their "range" until they work their way through the LR Bible and the LG Bible.

I agree with this.  I read thru the powerscore after receiving a low low LSAT and got 8 pts higher the next time.  If I had more time I could have done alot better.  So take off from work, if you can, do the books and take alot of practice tests.

I know...but Iowa has great academics...I hear. Iowa is pretty bad.  But I'm thinking I will be focused on school instead of social life...but like someone else said, I'm trading in my shorts, bikinis, tanning lotion, for a winter coat, ugg boots and scarves...ghh.  :'(

I'm between FIU and Drake. FIU offered me Part-time which I'm not too enthused about, so I was curious as to what decision you made.  Not to mention I've been following this thread for a while now. lol :) Congrats on your decision!

Reeses, any decisions yet?? we all (me) would like to know when you come up with one!

Finally something from FIU! Got a call today asking if I would like to be considered for the part-time program... :-\  Sure would be cheaper than Drake (27k!)

Keno! Im surprised.  I thought we were alike in so many ways.  I'm a goal person!!  I wish I was not however.  Because its like you are never truly happy until you reach that goal, and by the time you reach that one, you've got another one in front of it... :-[

Moving is just going to be a big adjustment is all, and I'm a little bit scared... Can I even rent a car at 21?

I'm with you!! But we aren't the only ones.  I'm going from Florida to Iowa.  When I went to visit Drake a few weeks ago I went there for 3 days by myself...I don't recommend going to visit a school by yourself or not knowing anyone...Made for a boring trip.  I rented a car (they had enterprise and many others at the airport) and I'm 23.  If you aren't 25, like someone said above it will be, I believe enterprise was like 10-15$ more a day.  So for 3 days, it was $90.  Had to do it...  I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all of my stuff! I want to bring it with me, but everyone is telling me to just move it home and buy stuff when I get up there...its a big production!! Good luck!

But for those of us who do handle our own transportation expenses, how much are you budgeting for insurance/maintenance/gas/auto loan payments in a year?

$500 a month?? GHHH I dont want to think about it. lol
