what are your thoughts? I sort of lump the two together in my head. I know Loyola is ranked a little higher but from statistics I have seen they both are well respected in their regions and they both place similarly well in their regions. However, Miami actually has the edge in median starting salary for graduates (surprising because LA is probably 1 of 2 markets that has a higher cost of living than Miami). As far as the campuses, Loyola's pails in comparison and Miami is also in a MUCH nicer part if its respective city. I haven't been admitted to Loyola yet, and likely will not be admitted, but I don't know if I would go to Loyola over Miami anyway. A couple weeks ago I thought I almost definitely would but now I am just not sure... I imagine some of you out there have this same dilemma, what are you thinking?

i wish i coulda come down for law day but my spring break was last week so it had to be then. it was fine though. i would almost guarantee you guys are gonna come out with a very good feeling. even so, the problem will remain, its so expensive. i'm just thinking i gotta suck it up and get loans out the ass... its just what you gotta do for law school...

where is everyone at in their decision process? right now it is looking like i will most likely end up in miami. i visited last week and left with a very favorable impression. the school was on spring break so i didnt get to see a class or see the school really in action with all the students around but it still seemed like a great place to go to school. the administration there, at least in the admissions office is ridiculously friendly and therese lambert led my tour because no students were around. it was very informative and, like i said, it seems like a great place to go to law school. the city of miami is booming too so i get the feeling it is a good place to get a job. i got deferred from brooklyn the same day that i took the tour... honestly i would rather a rejection so i could just stop thinking about it. at this point, the only school that might sway my decision is loyola, and honestly i dont know if i would rather go to loyola than miami. its ranked 15 higher which i honestly dont think makes a big difference at all, in fact there are two better schools in LA (usc and ucla) and no better schools in miami (maybe uf places well there but i would venture that um places just as well in miami if not better than uf). also LA is already so overpopulated whereas while miami is very populated, like i said, it seems to be really booming right now. so what are the rest of you thinking?

i wanted to start a thread specifically for these 2 schools, hopefully it will garner some interest. although i have not been accepted to gsu yet (online status checker went to "decision made" 2 days ago), i really hope i will be, but if i am i really dont know how i will decide between gsu and miami. i definitely want to live/work in a big market and i have heard great things about both atlanta and miami. i have also heard that miami grads do very well in miami and, likewise, gsu grads do very well in atlanta. money is certainly a factor and i think, havent checked recently, that gsu is a fair amount cheaper than miami, even for out-of-staters... i wonder how easy it is to get residency in georgia... anyway, let me know what you think, hopefully some people out there are thinking about this too... please chime in with whatever arguments you have for either school.

online status checker went to "decision made" today. definitely nervous. my top option right now is miami, which i am cool with, but i'd like another good option in another major market. no rejections yet on lsn so i guess thats good but i am not gonna get my hopes up... i could easily be the first...
