I mainly listen to albums, so I am going to make my top ten album list of 2006 here. If you'd rather say top ten songs you can do that too. Or just best 2 or 3 albums, or best 2 or 3 songs, whatever.
Hank's Top Ten Albums of 2006
1. "Modern Times" by Bob Dylan
2. "'Sno Angel Like You" by Howe Gelb
3. "I Am not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass" by Yo La Tengo
4. "Return to Cookie Mountain" by TV on the Radio
5. "Boys and Girls in America" by the Hold Steady
6. "The Crane Wife" by The Decemberists
7. "Broken Boy Soldiers" by The Raconteurs
8. "Destroyer's Rubies" by Destroyer
9. "Everything All The Time" by Band of Horses
10. "The Avalanche" by Sufjan Stevens
Overall a decent year for music, not as good as last year or 2003 though.

This is a game I made up on my own during class while I was bored. Attempt it at your own risk!!!
Exactly six people are living on three floors of a three-story apartment complex, two of them being assigned to each floor. If two residents live on the same floor, they are roommates. Three of them are females (Ginger, Taisha, and Josephine), and three of them are males (Alexander, Xavier, and DaShawn). None of these people are transvestites or homosexuals, and there are no other residents living on these three floors.
--A male and female resident can live together only if they have had sex with each other.
--Alexander is a virgin.
--Ginger lives on a higher floor than Taisha.
--If Taisha has had sex, she has had sex only with DaShawn.
1. Which of the following is an acceptable list of roommates, in order from the lowest floor to the highest floor?
A) Alexander & DaShawn; Ginger & Xavier; Taisha & Josephine
B) Alexander & Josephine; Taisha & DaShawn; Xavier & Ginger
C) Alexander & DaShawn; Taisha & Josephine; Ginger & Xavier
D) Ginger & Xavier; Alexander & DeShawn; Josephine & Taisha
E) Taisha & Xavier; Ginger & Josephine; Alexander & DeShawn
2. If Alexander and DeShawn are living on the same floor, each of the following could be true EXCEPT
A) Ginger lives on the second floor.
B) Ginger lives on the third floor.
C) Xavier has had sex with Josephine.
D) Xavier is a virgin.
E) Alexander and DeShawn live on the third floor.
3. If Alexander lives on the second floor and DaShawn lives on the third floor, which of the following must be true?
A) DaShawn has had sex with Ginger.
B) DaShawn has had sex with Josephine.
C) Taisha lives on a higher floor than Alexander.
D) Josephine has had sex with Xavier.
E) Josephine lives on a higher floor than Ginger.
4. What is the highest possible number of apartment complex residents who could be virgins?
5. If Taisha lives on a higher floor than Alexander, each of the following could be true EXCEPT
A) Alexander lives on a lower floor than Ginger
B) Alexander lives on a lower floor than Xavier
C) Taisha lives on a lower floor than Xavier
D) Both Ginger and Josephine are virgins
E) Taisha lives on a higher floor than both Xavier and DaShawn
6. Which of the following is NOT an acceptable list of all the residents who could be virgins at the same time?
B) Ginger, Josephine, and Alexander
C) DaShawn, Alexander, Ginger, and Taisha
D) Xavier, Alexander, Ginger, and Josephine
E) DaShawn, Alexander, Josephine, and Taisha
7. If one night Alexander meets Stephanie, has sex with Stephanie, and Stephanie and Alexander move into the previously unoccupied basement, assuming that one of the other residents would now be living alone, and assuming that all the previous rules stay in effect, what is the maximum number of residents who could be virgins?

Does anyone have this album? It is getting very good reviews, and I've already seen it on a couple top ten lists. http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/clipse/hellhathnofury
I'm not really into rap though. It always seems like I buy it, like it, then never listen to it.

Sports Illustrated just named Dwyane Wade Sportsman of the Year, presumably for leading the Heat to an NBA title. What do you think? Did Wade deserve it?
Personally I think Roger Federer should have won, and he should have won unanimously. He is the best tennis player ever, and he is currently dominating his sport. No one can come close.
And if you have other choices, shout them out. You also don't have to just pick men. Women (or animals: Barbaro) could win as well.

I honestly used to think that I would be better off with someone more passive who was sweet and homely, but recently I've been feeling the watch-what-you-wish-for vibe. I'm used to assuming that people I deal with are rational and self-interested, but so many of these bimbo-types are just the opposite--dependent and irrational. While I do have power over these passive, sweet, homely girls, is that something I actually want? I'm not so sure.
But what is the alternative? Assertive and independent women? That is kind of scary too. Would they think they were better than I was? I also don't think I've ever been turned on by anyone because of their intellect either; this would be a concern.
So help me out people. Who should I be looking for?

So I see a lot of threads about sex, current events, sports, etc, but I don't see any about music.
I'd be curious to know what people think is the album (or song, or comparable classical music piece) that they have listened to THE MOST in their lives. It doesn't necessarily have to be the best piece of music ever, but just the one that you think you have listened to the most.
The album I've listened to all the way through the most number of times is probably "Bringing It All Back Home," by Bob Dylan, followed by The Beatles's "Rubber Soul," and "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea," by Neutral Milk Hotel.
Any others want to share? I'm also looking for some new music to get, so if anyone has any good recommendations, let me know.

OK, so I was curious about this after watching an episode of Sex and the City. That's not too bad, right?
Personally I don't believe in love at first sight. I've felt a particular attraction to many people upon first meeting them, but I would classify that as more lust than love. I've never really been in love though, so maybe I will know it when it happens?

I'm serious, I really don't know what I should think about this issue. On the one hand, I am uncomfortable with the government having the power to take one of its citizens' lives. On the other hand, the government already puts people in jail for life anyway, denying them any freedom. If the government can do that, why shouldn't it be able to kill someone?
