...and that means a lot of schools with EA need to start sending out decisions...umh...tomorrow. Just thought I'd remind some of those schools that have been umh...silent. <cough>BC<cough>

General Off-Topic Board / Cottage Cheese

I've tried to learn to like it, but whenever I eat it I get bored of it after a few bites. If you voted yes tell me what you eat it with, if anything.

General Off-Topic Board / Strange Law School Dreams
« on: November 27, 2006, 07:12:12 AM »
Over the weekend I had a dream that I got accepted at UConn and they sent me an iPod and a fluffy blue bathrobe with "UConn" embroidered on the back with my acceptance package. I woke up and was a little sad that this is not going to happen in real life.

Anyone else have good/bad law school related dreams lately?

General Off-Topic Board / Dar Fur

On a serious note, if you haven't written to your representatives, President Bush, etc. about Dar Fur you really should.

This site makes it easy to write to Bush:

You should also write to your reps though, I do this all the time and they will usually respond with a form letter on the issue. For this it is very simple to use:

And yes, I'm sure many of you have already done this but I am indeed that annoying person you know who sends you e-mails about stuff like this on a regular basis.

Also check out the US Holocaust Museum's website. At night they are projecting pictures of the genocide on their walls.

Law School Admissions / Non-rolling admission?
« on: November 08, 2006, 07:59:06 AM »
Since everyone else gets to start threads just to answer dumb questions, I should get to as well. Here's mine:

So I got an e-mail this morning from W&M telling me I am complete. Sweet. I should get a cookie  ;)

But wait, there's more -
The nice lady wrote in the e-mail that W&M does NOT have rolling admissions and that they have a decision deadline of March 1st, and that they will mail decisions by April 1st. WTF?!?!? Are they being totally serial about this? Does that mean I will really not even hear from them until March or April?

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Where are the funny people at?
« on: November 07, 2006, 09:56:36 AM »
Intelligence of the student body is obviously quantifiable. I'm not worried about discerning that. What I want to know is which T1 schools have the most likeable, generally fun to be around students. UMich is already on the list, where else?

General Off-Topic Board / What are my chances...
« on: November 06, 2006, 08:24:24 AM »
...of dying in my bathroom?

I'll send you mine, you send me yours. I just want a basic gut reaction from people, good, bad or in between. I have seriously re-written the thing so many times I have completely lost perspective. It is a personal statement, btw, so please no "but it doesn't talk about why you want to go law school" comments, I have a whole other essay for that purpose. Shudder, that one is in even worse shape.
