And I had LORs from employers (very good), professors (I got As in all classes), and personal friend judges. So I agree with Pittman.

I have a 2.42 UG, 164, graduated in 2000 and am working on my MBA where I have a 3.7 (doesn't count towards LSAC GPA), I got into several tier 2s, some tier 3s, and have been deferred at some tier 1s.
Prove to Admissions that you won't get a low GPA in LS.
And for Christ's sake, study for the LSAT or don't go to LS at all. It sounds like you haven't caught on that this needs to be different, perhaps you need some work experience.

This is the question I am battling. I have 6 yrs finance exp, 1/3 done with my MBA (part time, GSU), and have been accepted to the law school (also GSU). Now I am thinking about dropping the MBA, mostly because I am worried about missing summer clerkships, having to take summer classes, and falling out of my section. Overall, I think it forces you into a non-trad role, and I am almost willing to drop what I have already finished to "get into the swing" of LS.
I think it will help set you apart upon grad, maybe not for more $ than the other hires, but for a better position than you would have gotten without it. On the other hand, with no summer work, who will hire you?
Not trying to talk you out of it, trying to talk myself into it.....
