You can always get the books unbound.

But I agree about a lighter laptop being better. (As long as it's not a Dell which, in my opinion, is a piece o' crap.)

Unless you have significant experience, you're probably not worth a headhunter's time.

Agreed. Ask the folks in NY what's the latest date for them to receive the scores.

And next time, put in at least a day of study time.

Oh, and when you take the bar (or bars) this summer -- I'd suggest perhaps you study a little.

Has anyone here taken the Law Preview course? In general, what did you think? Worth it? I'm going to be a 1L starting in the fall, so obviously it's something I'm considering.
In law school and beyond you'll find a million and one things you have to spend money on. Save the cash for that stuff.

If you're doing the 6-day PMBR, you might as well do the 3-day, also. It's not going to be that much of a difference in price. 6 day is an overview of the MBE subjects. 3 day is a practice MBE and fine-tuning once you've got stuff down.

As far as the NY/NJ bars, I didn't take them. I've heard NJ isn't bad, but I'm not sure I'd want to do teach-yourself for the first time taking the NY bar, esp. with the job on the line. Partially it depends on how well you do studying on your own. Take a look at some bar questions; that might give you an idea of if you want to tackle it yourself or if you want some guidance.

Not sure about gunners in BarBri. It's generally just lecture, not interactive.

Rule #1 - disclose
Rule #2 - see Rule #1

They may question it. If so, answer the questions honestly. That's about it.

As for how long they want, depends on the state.

I'm going to guess 12:00am Friday (April 4th).

You're not screwed for class. In some ways it could be a benefit. You might even be forced to take good notes rather than attempting to transcribe conversations.

Where you'll be hating life, though, is when it comes to your legal writing assignments. For this reason, I'd concur with the others. Time to learn some touch typing skills.

They even certify applicants who fail. If you got back a letter saying you're good to go on C&F it means absolutely nothing with regards to how you did on the exam.
