you could always call LSAC and ask them what you should do. They're very helpful

Almost everyone will tell you that rankings are not very important unless you go to a top 5 or 10 school. From what I've heard, 5 years after you graduate from law school, your reputation as a lawyer means more than what school you went to (generally speaking).

Those are both great schools and your numbers are very good. My advice is to go where you think you will feel most comfortable. I turned down Mercer for Texas Tech because when I visited Mercer I knew I didn't fit there and I wouldn't have done very well. If you feel that you fit both places, then make your decision based on the other factors. If you're not happy at your school, you probably won't do as well as you would if you went to a place that was a better fit for you.

Law School Admissions / Re: Applying Before Graduation

Most schools won't make a decision about your application until after first semester anyway. Even if you're applying early decision, you still might not get a respose until well after the first semester is over. You could always add an addendum to your application explaining that you would really like them to consider your fall 07 GPA and then explain why. You have to send an updated transcript anyway. Almost all schools I applied to required it.

careful, gu... many of us, myself included, would find your last statement pretty close to blasphemy.
Yes.  Saying something like that out loud in West Texas is liable to get you strung up.

I've already been warned, but I'm really picky about food. I really tried not to be for a while but I just can't get past the texture of beans...
Well, we can probably get around that.  Beans make all meals better (at least in my mind anyway), but you can eat enchiladas and tamales all day long without touching a bean.  And as long as you like enchiladas and tamales, then you'll be okay.

Like the pepper tamale? I don't like spicy stuff either. I got tricked into eating a jalapeno when i was little and haven't touched a pepper since then.

hmm.. refried beans? maybe if I don't look at it, it won't bother me...

Do they have mexican food in Pittsburgh?

umm.. we have "mexican" food in Pittsburgh but not real mexican. Taco Bell style food is about as mexican as we get here.

I think they mean mention your program somewhere else in your application. They usually ask for an explanation of your GPA if you feel that it doesn't represent you ability, but you can probably use that to explain the program and the use of 2 GPAs

I guess I need to try this "Freebird's" that you speak of...

And they don't show that commercial here. It sounds funny though so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Studying won't keep me from the football stadium this year. It's a schedule that features SMU, Southeast Louisiana and Baylor that will.

I'm with you on that Kruddler.. I don't think studying can keep me from football. That's probably not good news for my grades, but 4 years at a football-deprived college makes me even more excited for football season.
