General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Recommended Commercial Outlines?
« on: June 10, 2011, 12:04:04 PM »
As I make final preparations for 1L to start (just two more months), I am curious which commercial outlines people recommend?  Where do you get them?  Amazon?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Recommended E&Es?
« on: March 20, 2011, 09:49:54 AM »
Okay, if I attend in the Fall, it looks like my schedule will be

Civ Pro
Torts
Property
Contracts
Legal Writing and Research

I am wondering if people here have recommendations for E & Es for the first 4 classes.

Any feedback you could provide would be greatly appreciated.  If I am going to do this, I want to get started on the E&Es right now.

I'm getting ready to order this one:

Any strong feelings for or against?

Thomas M. Cooley / Cooley Scholarships?
« on: March 16, 2011, 05:07:51 PM »
It seems that Cooley has some generous scholarships.

The school I thought I was going to attend just dropped into the fourth tier.  So, frankly, the idea of paying a LOT more to go to a school that's really not perceived as being that good is starting to not make any sense.

However, I've heard that some schools hook you with an initial scholarship, but then nail you with the renewal criteria.

What are the renewal criteria at Cooley?  How hard is it to do?  If you stay in the top 1/4 of your class are you going to likely get your scholarship renewed?

Thanks to anybody who knows the deal on this.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / How do you get old exams?
« on: March 15, 2011, 10:51:05 AM »
Does anybody have advice on how to get old exams?

I take it you can't ask your prof for them.  Is the only way to get them to ask students if they still have theirs?

What about commercially available stuff?  I know there are E&Es and outlines you can buy.  Are there sample exam questions and answers, too?
