Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / Re: BU Admitted Students Day

Aha, I knew I would find a thread about this already if I looked far enough.
Was anyone else at the BU open house a few days ago? Any thoughts?
I probably wouldn't have gone, except I have a friend who is an undergraduate there and it was a great excuse to visit her (and a free place to stay!). I really did enjoy it, though I don't think that it changed any of my thoughts about the school. I think it's fantastic, but am still leaning towards Vandy or GW over it just because their reputations are a bit better (GW in IP in particular) and none of them have offered me money to make the decision easier. So.
One thing that they did convince me of that I had already heard about BU is that their faculty is fantastic. They seem to actually really care about teaching, which is nice. Also, the students seem pretty laid back and friendly.
I didn't apply to BC and I haven't been there, so maybe I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but - I don't see why you would choose BC over BU unless: A) you're absolutely positive you want to work in Boston, B) you hate the idea of living in the middle of a big city, or C) you're afraid of heights.
re: the building - yes, it's pretty bad. But the view is gorgeous, and there's some nice lawn area right outside it. I personally find an urban campus with the T running straight through it to be a plus, but I can see how that would put some people off.
Just my thoughts in case anyone finds them useful.
