Yeah, I've been working between 50 and 60 hours a week for as long as I can remember. At the same time, i have performed volunteer community service, managed rock bands, raised a family and completed my UG degree.Of course, not all of this was done at the same time, but there were times when i juggled several extra-corporate activities while still putting in lots of overtime. So, if i could do BigLaw and only work 60-70 hrs/wk - and make BANK, I might really consider it.

"my wife became disabled and lost her business.  dont think iq or willpower had much to do with it."

And I lost everything I owned, paid-for or not, in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Had my wife and daughter been home when it struck, I would likely have lost them too. So, yeah, sometimes things do happen that are beyomd our control.

Sorry, maybe I was out of line.

Nevertheless, I do have friends and family who have and still do serve our country proudly, They have fought in afghanistan, iraq, and other places. They know the risks they take and yet they still serve with u7nswerving honor, just as ms. sheehan's son did. I doubt he would appreciate his own mother's comments.
