I too am looking at Pitt as my top choice presently, but I am unsure of their jump into the first tier last year. Was it a fluke? I hope they are on the rise, but who knows? The new rankings may affect my decision, but as of right now Pitt is the best school I have gotten into. Not too sure about the east coast, though. I have never really had a chance to check it out yet.

L&C is slowly moving up my list of potential schools. Of course, I haven't been admitted. I am from Seattle and need a change, but I don't know if a drastic change would be good for me. I sent my application in 11/1 and still haven't heard anything. But at least that means I am still in the running and wasn't an auto-reject. My numbers are mediocre, 158/3.2. So who knows? I hope we hear soon.

Thanks for all the help. I am bored at work and all I can think about is if my guitar will be playable when I get home. Thanks again!

It is a knock-off Fender Strat. An amazing Hondo II. It is amazing. Not really, but at least it was cheap.

I have had mine for a couple months now and I just busted a string for the first time. I am not too sure how to replace it. I have read online that you need to weave through a hole in the back. Is this correct? I believe there might be a panel on the back that may contain these holes, but I am not sure. Because when I go buy strings after work I don't want to ask this stupid question and look like a moron, it would be helpful if anyone could help me out. Thanks in advance.

I too am a Duck. Go Ducks! But in case anyone from the UW adcom is reading: Go Dawgs!
Ah, hence the duck. A Ducks fan! Damn you! However, I'll forgive and forget, because you gave the Sonics Luke. Luke's the little pointguard that could... Don't the dogs play in Eugene tomorrow?
I am the complete opposite. I am a Dawg for life. But a more realistic option is Oregon law for myself. So if I get in there, I will have represent the Purple & Gold whenever possible. Go Dawgs!

Go ask a ninth-grader. They should be able to tell you.

I am completely opposite. I haven't really put much thought about school now that I was accepted to a school I wouldn't mind attending. I just am trying to live life before we have hours of studying ruling our lives. I actually have taken up hobbies that I probably won't be able to do in school. It has helped.

I applied real early. I tried to have my application in the mail the day before the began accepting applications. I know I was shocked when the acceptance came so soon though. It seems Pitt is on top on the game. Does Pitt have a good "university" atmosphere? I am from Seattle, so I am clueless to the schools on the East coast I applied to.
