I got my license and registration before I got my inspections. It ended up costing 80 bucks for the inspection. I had to replace my wiper blades in addition for the 50 dollar inspection. But I have been here two weeks and I just was able to complete the whole registration process. Moving sucks!

I just found a place last week in shadyside. There seems to be a lot of available places for rent. I am just of Walnut St. This seems to be a pretty cool area. Good luck on the apartment search.

I just moved into town last week and getting your car situated is a bit of a hassle. I had a lot of trouble. I am going to get the inspections done on Monday, so I'll let you know how it goes. But make sure you have everything when it comes to registering your car. They are sticklers. Let me know if you have any questions.

I will be moving out to Pittsburgh in the next couple weeks. Is there anyone elsegoing to be there this early? I know no one, so it would be great to hangout with others from our incoming class.

What a great idea! I was hoping to meeting some golf junkies, so we can relieve some steam from a grueling school year every once in awhile on the links. I am not too good, but love to play. I am in. I am actually moving out there in two weeks, so if anyone is in town or also moving there, I would love to hangout. I am down to hangout and start meeting new people. I don't know anyone out there, so you all are my only friends there. Talk to guys soon.

I am in the same boat. I am hoping to get in-state. It's a gamble, but I like to let it ride. I think you have a great shot. A wife and a house are great starts. I don't think I will have either of those next year. So you definitely have a leg up on me. First thing I am going to do when I get settled is to register my car, get a PA license, and register to vote. If your wife has a job you will file in-state taxes, so I think you have a much better outlook than I do.

My name is Sean and I will too be attending Pitt this Fall. I am from Seattle. Anyone have any suggestions on places to live? I have been looking, but it is quite hard from 3000 miles away. I will be driving across country 7/1, so I should be in the Pittsburgh area trying to settle in mid-July. If anyone is interested in meeting up, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
. Take care.

It is there policy regardless of your decision. I was rejected, but I have seen others be accepted with the same "not over the phone" response. Stay positive and the best of luck to you.

I hate GW Bush too, but these rules were in place before he started to turn our country to *&^%.

Unfortunately, only ~3K can be deducted. I think this is the total. I can't remember. If you go to the IRS website you should be able to find out. There are two places you can deduct. So you may be able to squeeze out more than 3K.
