Yeah, its still a stone cold bummer that the first place I heard from was a wait listing. I was hoping to get an acceptance early on so the rest wouldn't matter so much. On the upside it occupied some of my usual sit-around-and-wait-for-the-mail time. I got to take an hour out of my day to write a letter of continued interest and mail that off. Oh well, back to fretting.

Well thats good news then, I guess. I got priority waitlisted from UIUC and was figuring it to be a temp-ding in reality. But if there is a real difference then maybe I'm still in it there and should send off a letter of continued interest and maybe another LOR.

Is there a real difference at all or do some schools just refer to the waitlist as a "priority" waitlist?
