I didn't retake, I'm just doing a grad program above. The only thing I really changed was application date and the results have been DRAMATICALLY different. Last cycle, Michigan dinged me and NYU waitlisted me, now I'm in at both. Personal statements, recs, everything is the same as last cycle, which goes to show that timing really does make a difference.

I live within an hour or two of D.C., and I just got a big packet of admissions materials from GW.  Inexblicably, it's dated January 7th, but postmarked 1/4/07.  The Dean wrote a really wonderful personal note on the admissions letter.  Those who got into GW recently should be getting one soon!  I got the admit email on 12/28.

I know GTown is better ranked, but I just get such a fantastic feeling from GW.  As they say in poker when 99 is heads-up against AK, "It's a race."
I got mine last week. The admissions staff is so nice there, I felt a million times more welcome there than I did at GULC. Too bad I hated DC  :-\

I wish I could go to the ASW, last year at GW everyone was raving about it and most of the people I met there, ended up at Mich. Alas, I'll just have to live vicariously through the rest of you.  :-\
