Of course George Washington is a good school-- nothing second rate about it, as far as reputation is concerned. Besides the difference is lifestyle and location, anyone want to take a stab at arguing that one should got to GW over W&M simply because it's academic program is superior?
Of the schools I have already been excepted to, these two are on the top of my list.

I just was finishing up my FAFSA and after I entered my electronic signature, it said that my info didn't match up with the info at the Social Security Agency. The pop-up told me that my file would be sent to the SSA for verification and that I should try again tommorow. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a chance I really will be cleared for submission by tommorow?

thanks for the input, everyone... if i end up going there, i'll be splitting rent with my girlfriend, which will help out, because that means we could be in the market for a 1BR (although hopefully one that's a bit bigger...)
i guess i just need to go up there and check it out... these names of neighborhoods mean nothing to me.
on a related topic-- i can only assume it's a bad city to be a dog owner...?

...to live in D.C.? Can anyone give me some ballpark figures for rent on apartments in the neighborhood?

I've only gotten in to a handful of law schools so far (W&M, W&L, USC), and I'm still waiting for the big boys, but regardless, W&M's financial package (in-state tuition, annual stipend) is going to make it hard to say no.
What is the general impression you all have of William and Mary? What have you heard about academics, social life, career prospects, etc?

Just found this board today. Thank God I hadn't found it before... it would have made the application process 10x more terrifying...
Anyway, I have been skimming posts, and noticed that a decent number of people have been getting phone call acceptances. I don't have an answering machine, rarely pick up the phone when I'm home, and often am out of the house. Is this a problem? Is it worth it to go get an answering machine?
