one of the coaches got tossed at the WFU-UMD baseball game today and my only heckle was "Thank God the taxpayers of the fine state of Maryland are paying your fine." I'm just glad I'm not a Maryland taxpayer. So !@#$ GWU because now I don't have to pay for a fine.

Well it's six o'clock and I'm already drunk because I slept through work and went to the WFU baseball game with a flask.

Well... I hate kids, but I know I'll be a good dad in a "wow my dad taught me a lot" sort of way. I plan on being like Red Foreman. I believe in tough love and while I hate kids, I'll love my own because obviously my kids will be perfect. I think Red will be a good mom too, except it will be like, "Wow, my mom was really smart and taught me to think for myself and not accept spoonfed intellect." My kids will say... "Well, my dad was tough, but damn if he didn't make me a man/woman who knows how to survive in the real world."

I may have puked blood last night. I'm not sure because I don't remember. I woke up wondered where my girlfriend was and saw that it was 10:30 and I wasn't at work. At first I thought maybe it was Saturday. Apparently I tried to write an e-mail last night to work to explain I wasn't feeling well. Thank God I didn't send it. I couldn't understand it this morning.
I had one friend spend $75 at penny pitcher night and another that spent over $550 one night at a bar with free drinks. The strip club had an open bar going and so he went to the VIP with a girl and on the way back said "Well, I guess you should go ahead and grab that one as well."

You might be an alcoholic if Jack Daniel sent you a Christmas card.
My friend sent out Maker's Mark Christmas cards.

Drunk people don't need to have a good sense of time. That's what independent witnesses, time stamps, computer logs, and card readers are for.

Any pre-nup I would sign would be less about protecting my current or future assets because part of marriage is joining together and sharing. The only stipulations I would have would be along the lines of infidelity and things of that nature that would affect a divorce settlement.
It's important to note that a pre-nup isn't always about protecting assets. It is simply a legal contract. It can say that you agree to split everything fairly.

My only point is that a pre-nup is a legal agreement. They don't have to take the negative attitude that they have. Putting assets in a pre-marital trust or shielding an inheritance is perfectly acceptable in my opinion.
Obviously when I get married I want it to last, but as of right now I can't say what situations will arise in 20 years that will change who I am as an individual and who my spouse is as an individual. There is no way to predict the events that will mold us and we may grow closer or we may grow farther apart. I don't think it is that ridiculous to plan for the "possibility" that something may go wrong.

It's not selfishness and materialism that has anything to do with it. It is that in this day and age a majority of marriages fail and it is practical to protect yourself from that possibility. I have car insurance and while I certainly don't plan or hope to get in an accident, if I do, I'll be glad I have the insurance.
