Law School Applications / Question about application dates...

So a school I'm considering applying to as a backup has their application available already. It's not my first choice, but I have my materials ready to submit. I have a definite first choice school whose application isn't available until September. My question: Should I apply this early to the backup school, or would it show my first choice I'm not as committed to attending there? Or does it matter at all? It should be noted that I plan on letting my first choice know I will attend if admitted in my PS. Please let me know. Thanks a lot!

LSAC and LSDAS / LSAC GPA

So I was looking at my transcript report on lsac.org, and I noticed that my cumulative GPA and average GPA were different. Do law schools give more weight to one over the other/do they consider both?

I go to a big university with a several pre-law advisers, and they're all pretty much useless compared to the info you can find online. I'd say just do your own research on lsac.org and lawschoolnumbers.com to see where you stand.

Cool man thanks a lot for the advice. I live in Boston and I just registered for and probably will attend the Boston forum, but it isn't until October 16. I was hoping to apply as early as possible (around Oct. 1). Do you think I'll still get some fee waivers? Thanks again

Hey everyone, I've been reading this board for the past couple weeks, and I'm looking to get some advice. I'm going to be applying to these law schools in the fall (all part-time except CUNY because they don't have one):

CUNY Law
NY Law
St. John's
UDC
Suffolk
New England Law
Golden Gate
Pacific
Florida International

What do you guys think of my chances at these places, especially the NY schools (I would love to go to school/practice there)

Also, my ultimate ambition is to become a judge, so I guess I mainly am interested in working for the government.

My LSAT score (I took it only once) is 153, and my cumulative GPA is 3.13 (average is 3.21) from Boston University School of Management (undergrad business).

So what do y'all think of my chances/what do you think of these schools for my career goals. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks
