Public education system for k-12, then private for college. A lot of the public schools were just too big for what I wanted in college, but there are certainly very prestigious public universities.
To say WE (3t/4t) are Walton and the 1T i Kobe is bothersome because many of us have beat those big named schools in court and while I understand you analogy there seems to be an image issue where the Harvard's of the world believe they are better than the Cooley students of the world.
Students in law school represent the smartest 5% of students in the country.
Edit: You seem to miss the entire point of the situation affecting his grade and overall rank. I don't think this is a "oh well, too bad, life is unfair" situation. Some students had answers, some did not...I think it's unfair.
