What slow sink? We have been ranked in the 20-30 range for the past five or six years. All schools ranked in this range are essentially only a point or two away from each other. Take a look at the raw scores. There is a relatively small difference between the school ranked 20 and the school ranked 30. In any given year, any school could jump or fall a few spots in this range. It doesn't mean much. If we fell to the level that we had in the 90s and early 2000s, then maybe I would worry, but not much.

It has been years since I posted on this site, but thought I'd drop by and see if people are still using it. I can field any answers you have about BU or generally.

Outside of the T14, there are probably only three "national" schools, and even these are more regional:
GW ND BC

Don't go to Iowa unless you want to work in Iowa. You are not going to get BigLaw fro Iowa. You should try to get into BC GW or ND if you can. Iowa does not have the placement that these similarly ranked schools have.

I can't believe this thread is still going. Seriously, whoever the OP originally was, take some advice from a practicing lawyer and go to UST. Anyone who tries to sell you a tier 4 school over a tier 3 school is a troll, or flame.

WUSTL, unless you want to work in MPLS. Minni only really places in the twin cities.

Please don't go to a law school based on public perception. The only perception that matters is what the lawyers think, which is largely based on US News. This is why we (lawyers) rely on US News; its the only real benchmark we have, even though it is flawed. As the saying goes, perception is reality. I think most lawyers in the Twin Cities still view the four law schools like this:
1. U of M 2. William Mitchell 3. UST (closing fast) 4. Hamline
lol, no. Only william mitchell alum would think so.

Do not go to a tier 4 school. I went to a top 20 school and I have had issues with my degree. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to go to a higher ranked school, even if the lower ranked school has been around longer.
