Distance Education Law Schools / Re: 1 L starting school in July 2010
« on: August 25, 2010, 11:24:09 AM »
My undergrad course major consists of philosophy, international studies, and finance. I am a triple major and not some kid with just a Liberal Arts degree. I have to travel to a different school campus to do the courses in finance for the degree but the philosophy and international studies takes place at my main campus. Other than that, we have a debate-like team that participates in competitions around the state in competitions. It is called, "mock-court," and so far, I have been in the top percent in the state competition. I also take time out of my schedule to volunteer even though I do not have to take time out of my busy life to help people. Despite what you may believe due to my posts, I am not a cruel or callous person looking out for himself, I do in fact, help people whenever I can and as much as I can.

AS for interviews, I wouldn't have gotten an internship and a job offer for a high paying salary once I graduate if I was (1), stupid, (2) severely arrogant to the point of no-one liking me, and (3) bad at interviews. I can handle an HLS interview and for the record, I had a 4.0 (or all A's) since I began school and High School is no exception to that fact.

With a 4.0UGPA, summa cum laude, a mind ready to tackle any test, good preparation for the fall LSAT, I am a shoe-in for any of the top 3 law schools. Although on here where I tend to be more laid-back with my writing style, grammar, spelling, etc..., on my personal statement which was originally 4k words in length, but now cut down to 1500 words, I wrote flawlessly. It was original and creative. I had my English professor proof read it before actually finalizing it. If I do get into Harvard or Yale, I will turn down the job I was offered a month ago and immediately go to the Ivy League. So, despite your obvious sarcasm and snide remarks, bigs, I will get into any school I want to. You need to tone it down a bit, you are out of line.

LSAT horror stories / Re: Shoud I cancel..?
« on: August 23, 2010, 04:23:00 PM »
Despite the sonofapickle above not being me, I have to say don't cancel.

It takes a strong minded person to not get totally mind-boggled during a test and perform well. I practice more on the mental aspect of taking a test and for a long time, I can take just about any test with a clear, focused mind. That is mainly why some people do a bit more poorly than others is that their own mindset is not too strong.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Reason for going to law school
« on: August 23, 2010, 04:07:31 PM »
I am not going to law school to become a lawyer, but rather going to earn a J.D... As for passing the bar, if I feel up to it, I will possibly take it but I might not even do that as I was offered a good paying job with a salary a month ago, so I might just take them up on that job. It pays well and I could earn more money than a lawyer in just 2 years but I'd have to get an MBA to go up further in the company. I dunno though, take the job and go to business school part-time? I haven't made a decision yet but I might just work for 2 years, gain some experience and networks of friends in the field, go to law school and dual major in law and business, then get a nice lucrative job out of the gate. Who knows? I might not take the job because I really dislike working with people I don't like and there are a few individuals I absolutely dislike in that company.

Taft online law school? Wow, that is hugely funny. Good luck with printing your online diploma out over the internet. Online school is not a real school.

Everyone has heard this story already, I don't think they should provide any leniency to minorities for being minorities. It is stupid and is more self-defeating (ideally) than actual improvement on the system. You being a former gang member is your own problem, don't make it seem like something else. Who cares about the choices you made? You weren't born into gang life, you chose it out of your volition, and your friend being sentenced to jail with no parole was his problem. No one cares about your life story. What, are you going to say you will help other kids with problems? Give me a break.

General board for soon-to-be 1Ls / Re: Class Statistics?
« on: August 23, 2010, 03:04:34 PM »
People aren't trying to show me the "supposed" error of my ways, but rather trying to prove themselves to me. You, with your very post, are trying to prove yourself to me. Instead of actually defending your previous post, which I criticized, you post a new one and try to take some holier than thou attitude with me. You do not show experience, but rather naivety, you do not show intellect, but rather a veneer of intellectualism, you do not show humility, but rather personified falsity. Please tone down your own hypocritical statements into something more tangible and sensible to your previous post.

Your whole post was a cop-out from your previous one, so don't try and pull a fast one on me, Denny. Good try though.

Do you even know what the laws of defemation are retard?

Except for (1), I called you a homosexual and I did not publicize it in front of everyone. (2) No-one knows who you are and (3), your post could be interpreted as homosexual due to how to was presented. For one, no honest, heterosexual male puts money and, "getting ass," in the same sentence unless they are referring to picking up male prostitutes.

pass junior college

I have never stepped foot inside a junior college. I am almost done with college and I am only 20 about to be 21 next year. Did you graduate high school at 16, were you on the honor roll your whole life, did you graduate college with a 4.0 summa cum laude (I will be graduating 4.0 summa cum laude in the winter), do you have an uncle who works in big law, do you have connections, were you studying more advanced law, science, and math at 10, did you fully understand the concept of infinity at the age of 6, were you able to skip a few grades, were you ever placed in front of a professor to take a standard issued IQ test and test results come back to say, "you're a genius for your age group," were you ever considered for any ONE of those aforementioned listings? If so, please do tell me about it. Otherwise, you should stay in your place. Your logic fails you as well.

We already had an argument similar to your "defamation" argument about me being some "racist." You know how that argument turned out, you were basically schooled.

That would only apply if I said homophobic based remarks. I applaud your failure. Saying someone picks up male prostitutes is not homophobic in any way nor would such a saying get you disbarred. Good luck with law though as you will need more luck because your skills are lacking.

I said I don't know much about the, "PROCEEDINGS OF LAW SCHOOL," not the law. You once again you show the primitiveness that is your intellect.

This is all too similar to the time you called me racist for calling you an ape when I didn't know your race at the time. Yet, on the other-hand, you have spouted racist rhetoric throughout this forum mainly towards Caucasians.

Your constant incomprehensible postings of what you believe I am saying which is besides the point and actually what I am not saying in that specific post. That is one inaccuracy and the other is your current post, just because you are in law school does not mean your opinions are considered fact. I may know little about the actual proceedings of law school but your opinion of the law is not more valid than my own.

The paying a male prostitute is to show how I view your posts. You post the most ridiculous inaccurate things pertaining to my life from one simple statement I created. It was not to say you were actually "gay" but rather make a point. Also, I would not get disbarred for making such claims if they were presented by your previous statement of, "I can get ass," females have vagina's and in general, heterosexual terms, getting "female private part" would be the correct terminology, not ass. "Ass" is reserved for homosexuals as that is the only orifice they have to engage in sexual acts. However, as stated before, I am just showing you what you look like when you post. You totally misconceive my posts and assert your straw man based logic. Get it? I surely hope so.

To everyone else, I am in no way, shape, or form a bigot or homophobe as REALITY has stated. I get along with all races of people and homosexuals.
