Where should I go next fall? / Re: Northeastern making my mind up for me

Congrats!  When did you recieve your acceptance, and how much did you get? (I understand if you don't want to tell)  Also, was there anything else other than numbers that you think got you the scholarship?  Sorry for peppering you with questions, but NU is my dream school and I would love to get some money there.  Thanks, and congrats again!

Really accessable from public transportation, probably the most accessable spot in the city.  The green and red lines are literally right outside the door, and the orange and blue lines are walkable, so not a bad trip from anywhere on the T, really.

Suffolk is probably in the best area of the boston law schools, in my opinion (sorry harvard, i do love cambridge, but suffolk is a step up!)  Its right downtown, literally on the common, near the theatre district and great restaurants and all.  The only problems are crime later at night when all the working people have left, and housing right near campus is expensive.  Thanks for the info about the award letter, it'll give me something to look forward to for the next few weeks!

Unless you have some real reason for the difference, which it seems like you don't, I wouldn't bother writing an addendum.  Hopefully you'll get in though, we can be classmates next year (NU is also my top choice!)

The first thing you need to make sure of is that you can actually complete the degree in a year.  My undergrad offers a ms in finace, but some of the "undergraduate foundation" they require aren't even required of finance majors at my school.  Things like econometrics, mathematics of economics, and macro theory are added on to the required courses, making it take at least a year and a half if you didn't take those classes in undergrad.  And its definatly not an easy grad degree, I know some of the people doing it now and they say its rough.

Here's the link to the off-campus property listings villanova has:

Another good area to try is Manyunk.  Its a little furthur, technically a section of philly, but its a really fun atmosphere, lots of recent college grads, and I know a few nova seniors who live there and don't mind the commute

I'm a senior at Nova right now, so if you have any questions about the campus, law building (i've been there a few times), or the area, feel free to ask!

For a lot of schools, the deadline is for clicking transmit, so transmit it now, they'll most likely accept it even if they don't have everything by feb. 1
