Boston--Between living here doing my master's degree last year and now living here and working it has gotten under my skin. Despite the fact that it is so cold my eyes teared and then burned this morning on the way to the T, i love it! Great places to live, good public transportation, great restaurants and museums, good schools, lots of green space. I could go on and on, and coming from a midwest girl, this much love for a city is rare.

I'm glad to know i'm not the only one anxiously awaiting that decision Too bad the decision has to get all the way to Ohio instead of my apt. in Boston. Oh well! Good luck!
i'm in the same situation. hopefully it won't add more than a day to my waiting period. I'll have to make sure my parents are ready for it and don't think it's junk mail.
Haha. I don't have to worry about anyone mistaking it for junk mail. My dad is recovering from surgery so I told him it was his job every day after the 15th to go out to the mailbox and look for the envelope. You have great numbers though, I wouldn't worry!

I had to withdraw two of my applications for family reasons and all I needed to do was email both schools. They emailed me back, thanked me for letting them know, and wished me luck with the application process. I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I don't think so, though I could be wrong. I know they sent out their first batch of acceptances last week and there have been a few this week, but it seems like they are taking their time. I wouldn't worry yet. When I spoke with the admissions office earlier they said people hear all through December.

One of my best friends is a lesbian and she marked on her lsac applications that she was gay. She received special scholarships for law school because of it because lgbt students are considered URMs in law school. While at times I wouldn't advocate it, it seems worthwhile to do here. You will probably also get clued into interesting information about which law firms are gay friendly etc.. I, for example, work at a law firm in Boston that pioneered the domestic partner health insurance and benefits program. There are some more progressive firms that have programs etc.. but a lot of the older traditional firms have not moved in that direction yet. It might be nice to know where it's good to work, you know?
