I was wondering what size everyone is getting. I am debating between a 14" and a 15.4". The 14's keyboard seems a little scrunched and the screen is a little small for my eyes...but I don't know if the 15.4" will be too big to lug around. it is only about a 1/2 lb. heavier, but it is a decent amount bulkier. thoughts? (I know, laptop questions have been discussed to death, so ignore the question if you are sick of them...but if not, please help ).

Ahh! It is finally decision time. I am deciding between BC, UWash, Colorado. I have until the weekend to submit my final deposit. I need some advice. THANKS FOR ANY HELP! Please leave comments, they would be appreciated! You guys are the best!
-I have no strong preference on where I will end up practicing (I would be happy to end up any of the school's nearby cities)
-Money (cost) is only one of many factors that I take into consideration, it is in no way the deciding factor...I have a 10K scholarship to CU (and then in-state 2L and 3L), and in-state 2L and 3L at U Wash.
-So I guess things that do matter to me are: professors interesting, job prospects, students friendly, nice law building, fun law school town/city, big city nearby is nice to live/practice in, cost, nice library, pretty campus, social students, things to do (sports, bars, arts, etc), uncompetitive environment, good career services, dog friendly city, wealth of class offerings, etc.
Emory has ranked their waitlist....Let's get a thread going on this....I started one already in the "waitlist" section, but no action. Check it out and contribute :
Anyone getting nervous about tomorrow? (When we can find out our rank on the Emory waitlist). Has anyone called early and found out where they rank early?
Once you find out where you stand tomorrow, feel free to post the info on here....this can become the official "where I am on the Emory waitlist ranking" thread. If your comfortable, please post your GPA/LSAT/Index when you tell us where you are on the list.
After 6 1/2 months, I finally got a response from Arizona...a damn waitlist. Yeah, like I really want to keep waiting longer. Pretty ridiculous. And the anonoying thing is, I think I got screwed. I applied in October, but when I spoke to them a month ago, they told me my file hadn't even gone to committee yet! So, it is as if I applied in March, because they looked at my app so late. By the time they looked at it, I am sure they had most of the class filled. Quite an operation they got going on down there.
Not that I really care, because I wouldn't have gone there anyway (unless maybe they had got back to me 4-5 months ago), but it just pisses me off. That is my vent of the day.
Note to all law schools: Do not send a letter to those on the waitlist that starts with "We are pleased" unless it is an acceptance!!! That is how the e-mail I got today from Washington University started.
(It read "We are pleased...to learn of your continued interest in Washington University School of Law) (I added the ...)
So there are five schools with "Washington" in their name. I applied to 4 of them, and only got into one (waitlisted at the other three). I saw the idea for this thread over on autoadmit (I was bored and shamefully ventured over there one night). I decided to start it up here because the thread was several years old over there, and I thought there would be more intelligent responses here.
So, there are five Washington schools: University of Washington (Seattle), Washington University (St. Louis), George Washington, Washington and Lee and American University (Washington College of Law). If asked just to rate them, most would probably follow the USNEWS rankings. So, let's rank order them on different categories: 1) National Reputation 2) Location 3) Job Prospects 4) Student Atmosphere 5) Facilities 6) Overall
I'm curious as to what people think. Feel free to add your own categories as well!
Wow, It has now officially been 6 months since I have applied to U of Arizona, and not a word. Not a deferral, waitlist or anything....nothing! They are the only school left who hasn't given me a word. It is pretty incredible how long they are taking. What is there deal? Who do they think they are that they can make a paying applicant wait 6 months, and weeks after most deposits are due, no less. 6 months! Come on, get it together!
