Non-Traditional Students / Newbie, here!

Hi, all.  I'm very green at this and looking for any advice. I am a 45 year old mom of 2 little kids, currently in a very successful career in the
entertainment world. In addition, I have 8 years of experience working for my union and negotiating contracts for same... but the reality is, I've been out
of school for almost 25 years. I can't remember what my GPA was (just ordered my transcripts, from school) but think it was about a 3.6. I'm
scoring consistently in the 164 range (+/- 4 pts) and am hoping to attend Fordham's night program (so that I can continue working, at least for
the first year.)
Is this a totally unrealistic expectation? Do any of you have other advice, for me?

-- I should add that I will not be asking for Financial Aid, and UG was at a Seven Sisters school.

Wow - I'm so surprised. I would have thought SOMEone would have some advice, here! :(

Bluerose, this is SO similar to my situation. I used to love my career, but in the past few years I've found myself lying in bed in the
morning, dreading getting up and going to work. Between that and 2 little kids, studying for the LSAT has been my escape - my chance
to challenge myself, to make my brain hurt... yeah. Going back to school - that's my dream, too. Best of luck to you!!!

1. My daughter has suggested that I take her Tinkerbell and Arielle pencils... I'm sticking with yellow #2's but it's a funny thought!
2. Good question. Dunno.
3. Wrap them in the tissues that you're allowed to bring in your bag?

You guys are making me feel great!  Something clicked, a couple of weeks ago. I just started enjoying the challenge of this thing, the mental gymnastics.  I don't have as much to lose, as some (I'm [ahem] "older" with 2 little kids, trying to go back to law school after a successful career in a totally different field) and this is my first pass at the test.    Glad I found this board - the advice and support have been amazing.  (And Thales? From your lips... I'd love to do better than my expectations!  :D)

 :D Dude, I have been lurking on this board for 2 months -- if I had cranked the way you've been doing? I would be so ready for this thing to be OVER with! But instead, I'm juggling this with job and family... so for me, the LSAT studying is kind of like... (don't hate me, OK?) ... fun, for me.  Now, go out there and kick my ass  -- you'll get your 170 and I'll be huddling in the mid-160s pack.

 ;)  You know, I think I really, really will!  I know this sounds absurd, but I reached a point about a month ago where I truly began to look FORWARD to studying, each day. I love the challenge of this test - the games, the time issues, the tricky stems... all of it. It's like having a great crossword puzzle (or logic game!) with coffee each day -- you know, if coffee lasts for 3+ hours.
I will actually feel lost, without the LSAT.
