At my school, the reading for Legal Writing is short and easy, but there has been a ton of busy work that has been more annoying than anything. I haven't found the two short memos we've had to do so far to be tough, but along with the other little assignments we've had, they all take up time.

Same book as John... we're starting with negligence.

I did most of my reading before and between classes. Probably did 1-2 hours at night, three days a week. Now, I could've worked a lot harder and probably done better (just got my grades back and I'm on the fringe of top 1/3, either just head or just behind... we don't know the exact percentiles yet) which is fine with me and what I want to do). I did nothing on weekends but watch football and go out, except the couple of Sundays the week before memos were due.
I found I had a TON more time than expected for social/leisure stuff. It does get intense right around finals and when memos are due.

I'm wondering the same thing.
I have a very low GPA (2.66 - It's a long story) but a decent LSAT (163) for the school I most want (Drake.)
I'm hoping that though my index is quite average there, having my app in very early (almost 2 months ago) and the high LSAT will get me in.
Just reread your post... you want Drake? You're money in the bank there.

The further out of school you are, the better. I had nearly identical numbers to you but had been out since spring '02. From what I've learned talked to people around LS and in following this admission process the two previous years is that it's much easier to make up for a poor GPA than for a poor LSAT.

One of my classmates here got a call from UC-Davis this afternoon and was admitted off the waitlist. She promptly withdrew and headed to the airport. So there is still at least *some* hope for you guys!

Saxby-
I'm just glad to see you took "We've Got Tonight" off there. "99 Problems" might be inappropriate, but it is inappropriate in a funny way, esp. if it's at the bride's request. But when I saw your first song on your first list was basically about getting in one last @#!* from your ex before you both go your separate ways, I was thinking, "That's not so much a wedding song."
Of course, there is some debate as far as whether or not it's about an ex or just a one-night stand, but either way...
Most of your list is solid, though.

I was just wondering the same thing. Hopefully some of the more finaid-savvy people in here will have an opinion.
