Fee waiver/letter from Temple.  DVD/fee waiver from Baylor.  Won't take up either, too tired of apps!

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Best Schools for Conservatives
« on: December 02, 2005, 08:08:10 PM »

BTW don't feel so bad. One of my roommates my senior year was black, Jewish, openly gay, and a Republican. From Alabama. No joke. :-X I think he transferred to Harvard halfway through the year.

That is insane.  No, I'm black, puerto rican, cuban, straight, and Republican.  From North Carolina/NY.  Weird mix, but your roommate takes the cake.

Michigan might not be bad, it's be quietly creeping up my list of desirable schools for some time now.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Columbia v. Chicago
« on: December 02, 2005, 03:08:29 PM »
I'd prefer Chicago.  I'm biased because I go to school 20 blocks from Columbia, want to get out of NYC, and am a conservative.  For me, those factors, plus the reputation as a top-notch school intellectually would send me packing to Chicago.  If they accept me, that is.

LOL, yeah I mean, I don't mind attending a liberal school.  Hell, I'm at a school now that in its hey-day made Berkeley look like Liberty.  I also see that attending a more liberal school is better for me intellectually; it'll challenge my implicit political assumptions more.  But it still would be cool to get to a school where I'm not the ONLY minority conservative lol (which is almost the case here at my u-grad).

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm hoping so.  Thanks for the vote of confidence.  Now it's mostly a waiting game.  Waiting.  Waiting.  Oh, the agony.  Just send out those damn decisions already lol.

Yeah, 13 apps.  5 complete, all others somewhere in the ether.

Yeah, exact same concern here.  I'm hoping that my extensive internship/work experience/leadership can offset that impression.  We'll soon see!

The age thing used to scare me; I figured it adversely affect my admission chances at some of the more elite schools.  Now, I'm pretty much indifferent.  It's the one aspect of my application I can't control.  No use in stressing.  How do you feel RE: age -- has it ever worried you?  Probably not given your numbers!!!

Just turned 21 a week or two back, will be 21 starting 1L, 22 at the end.  Young, but not in that handful of super-whiz kids who entered and left college early.
