What is your impression of document review?  One hot shot litigation partner at Paul Weiss told me that any "true" trial lawyer loves to do document review -- they yearn to find that "smoking gun" document.  True?  False?

What kinds of projects have you been getting?  For example, what does a securities or bankruptcy assignment look like?  A research memo?

Do you share an office?  If not, do you know anyone close to you who can speak to the experience?

How are you doing as far as billing?  How hard is it to stay on top of recording your billables?

What sealed it:

Partner, Firm A:  We don't get everybody we like, but it's rare that we lose someone to Firm B.  If it's between us and Firm B, I really don't see there even being a decision.

Me (to myself):  I obviously think there is a decision to be made, and in the other way.  So either I'm entirely illogical or you're just a male private part.

Done and done.  Accepted the offer and declined all the others.  So no more free dinners and flights to NYC, I take it?  Booooooooooooo.

I don't get this desire to dress down in the first place. Wouldn't people have a natural desire to look as good as possible? Not just in the court room, but in your professional life generally? I know I much prefer to put on a great looking suit when going to something formal than trying to just make the minimum required dress code.

at work i agree i think its extremely unprofessional you're a grown up act like one. casual fridays were the worst things ever. on your own time it's fine but at work or professional functions no (especially not in court)

agreed

x __lacoste__.  You're a professional now.  Dress appropriately.  Learn to love dressing like one or be miserable for the rest of your life.

And as the Jay-Z bandwagon grows, Lupe and Little Brother get slept on

i tried to get into lupe can't, i prefer kanye

 ???

What tracks of his have you heard? Have you listened to any of the stuff from his upcoming album?

Lupe and Little Brother are slept on -- and are fire.  Little Brother's new album is fire, and the couple of Lupe tracks out are alright too.  But it's tough to compete with Jay's American Gangster.  It's serious.

Um, damn you Big Law Firm B for complicating my life when I was all set on taking my offer at Smaller Law Firm A and being happy and satisfied with my decision.  GRRRRRR.

Good problem to have.

Yeah, it's more and more becoming a non-issue.  I've made my decision in my head.  But I'll let them sweat it out a bit.  Have each one fly me down to NYC, take me out, etc.  Then bring their hiring committees to a Vh1-rented mansion and give one of them a necklace with the Scales of Justice on national tv a la IheartNY and such.

Its nice to have choices though!

True indeed.  I don't want to end up an ungrateful sap whining about having too much of a good thing.  But I need to make this decision fast so I can put all my energy back into schoolwork before exams creep up and smack a nucca upside his head.   :D
