Studying for the LSAT / Re: 170

First off, calm down.... :D

Then, identify where you are having problems.  If it is games, take your time and work through them, most have similar patterns.

If you are having problems with logical reasoning, first, go through your old test and see where you are getting the most wrong.  Make a list, ie, strenghen/weaken, assumptions, parallel reasoning, ect. and then look at the arguement structure.  Is is valid (formal logic), does it contain flaws, need assumptions, ect?  Many of the LR problems are the same arguement structure, so once you can recognize the structure, you will start to see patters in a correct answers.   Also, if you are having problems on one question, look for the conclusion and underline it, many times that will clear things up.

As for reading comp, I really cant help you out there...it seems to be where I am having the most trouble myself.

Good Luck!!!!

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Best Tier 3 Schools?
« on: November 24, 2005, 08:22:21 PM »
With your numbers you might want to consider Ole Miss too, tuition out of state is very cheap (-$14,000/yr), especially if you think your numbers might go up in the next LSAT.  And it's a tier 2 (# 85 I think)

Choosing the Right Law School / Tulane

Anyone applying?
Anyone know the real deal?  I talked to an admissions counselor at the law school forum in Texas, as she said, "We are expecting the same number of applicants...but...."

Anyone have any idea of that is really going on with applications there for Fall 06?  I know they are starting back up again in spring; has anyone seen the present state of the campus (and do you think it will be back in working order by next fall)?

Thanks!!!

Studying for the LSAT / Apply now or wait it out?
« on: November 23, 2005, 07:18:22 PM »
What do y'all think is a better idea for someone taking the Dec LSAT?  Apply before the test so admissions looks at the app. earlier, or wait to see the results (and possibly save some $$ if my score ends up lower than I expect)?

Also, does anyone know what the situation is at Tulane with Fall 06 apps?  Are they going to be easier than past years for admission, or are they taking a smaller class?  All I have heard is from an admissions counselor, "We plan on getting the same number of applications, blah blah blah..."  Anyone have the real deal????
